Joe Biden’s definition of normalcy is a threat to America’s national security.

The presumptive Democratic presidential candidate has pledged to return normalcy to the Oval Office — but for Biden, business as usual means allowing America’s enemies to run roughshod over our national interests.

Indeed, Joe Biden’s record of appeasement is enough to make Neville Chamberlain blush. His long resume of failures continues to plague our nation, and it would be disastrous to reward him with the presidency for allowing the ascendancy of China and Russia, the scourge of ISIS, and the nuclearization of Iran.

For decades, establishment politicians have been eagerly selling America out to China, and Joe Biden was there every step of the way. The American people have now had their lives directly upended by China’s ruthless expansion, as we learn of China’s attempt to cover up information about the novel coronavirus and credible reports indicate that the virus possibly originated in one of China’s biological labs. China’s rise as an emerging power and its influence over global institutions such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and World Trade Organization helped it cover up the dangers of the virus while it reached the U.S. And as the rest of the world stumbled on blindly into disaster, China stealthily stockpiled critical supplies of protective gear and medical equipment.

Crucial to China’s global expansion has been tacit — and at times explicit — support from the Democratic Party establishment, including the Clintons, former President Obama, and the Party’s likely 2020 nominee, Joe Biden.

While still a senator, Biden supported normalizing trade with China in 2000 despite the communist regime’s long history of human rights abuses and defiance of international norms. This turned out to be a disastrous decision that accelerated the trend of basing our critical manufacturing supply chains in China, costing millions of blue collar American workers their jobs and hollowing out entire communities. As vice president under Barack Obama, Biden allowed the Chinese government to manipulate its currency, steal U.S. intellectual property, and expand its military presence in the South China Sea to the point of encroaching on our allies’ sovereignty. Maybe he was too busy looking for opportunities for his son to profit from the corrupt regime to care about its ambition and aggression.

Unfortunately, Biden’s record of China appeasement didn’t end when he left office. As recently as last year, he was scoffing at the idea that China “is going to eat our lunch,” despite the fact that they’ve spent years not only eating our lunch, but taking our desert too — and giving us poisoned leftovers in return. And, as the true threat of the Chinese coronavirus began to emerge in January, Biden carelessly called President Trump “xenophobic” for halting travel between China and the United States.

In stark contrast to Biden’s history of appeasement, President Trump has consistently recognized and confronted the threat posed by the Chinese menace — in fact, he personally brought it to the forefront of a national security discussion that had previously been centered on terrorism and the Middle East. He campaigned on confronting that menace, and has worked tirelessly in office to defeat it.

Anyone who wants to learn more about the national security threat of a Joe Biden presidency and his weak position on China is welcome to join us Saturday, May 16, for the inaugural Military Families For Trump event online.

Ever since the attacks of 9/11 and the endless wars that followed, the Middle East has consumed most of America’s foreign policy attention. President Trump has worked to end those endless wars — wars that Biden once eagerly supported — and by sheer force of will he has shifted the country’s attention to the true threat confronting our nation today. Beyond the desolate deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan lies a greater enemy, an enemy whose pride, dishonesty, and subterfuge have now led to nearly 300,000 deaths worldwide and counting.

There can be no normalcy with China until they are no longer an economic enemy. Regrettably, China’s place in the world was reached in part through the complicity of Joe Biden.

Only President Trump can slay the Chinese dragon. Joe Biden would rather feed and care for it.
