Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri left planet Earth on Sunday when a U.S. drone said, “Howdy!” He was Osama bin Laden’s top lieutenant and a key strategist of the 9/11 attack on the United States. He reportedly was having tea on his balcony in a suburb of Kabul, Afghanistan, when his “ticket was punched.”

Congratulations to the U.S. military, who never grew weary in their goal of bringing justice to this jihadist mass murderer. It is a good day for America and for our men and women in uniform, who are better than our political leaders.

But count me out when it comes to joining the chorus today congratulating Joe Biden. There was a better time in America when everyone rallied around a president when we punched one of our enemies in the nose. The left abandoned that tradition years ago.

During the grinding war in Vietnam, America’s left undermined our troops in harm’s way every chance they got. Ho Chi Minh counted on America’s left to break the will of the American people.

More recently, there was no chorus of praise from the media or Democrat leaders when Donald Trump took out America’s enemies. When Trump crushed the ISIS caliphate that Obama/Biden allowed to grow like a cancer in Syria, the left did its best to make sure he got no credit. On October 26, 2019, when Trump presided over the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Biden said the operation was a success “despite” Trump’s “erratic behavior.” And when Trump, in January 2020, pulled off a stunning attack on Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps leader Qasem Soleimani, Biden complained this victory for America “takes us a heck of a lot closer to war.” Every Democrat then competing for the Democrat presidential nomination actually criticized Trump’s decision.

So, to Republican senators and Fox News hosts who felt compelled to give Biden a pat on the back, count me out. I will embrace a bi-partisan foreign policy as soon as I see some evidence that the Socialist/Marxist modern Democrat party stops comparing American Christians to the Taliban and stops their war on America’s Founding Fathers. Anything that even indirectly helps Biden/Pelosi/AOC/Soros retain power is something that will make it more likely that American freedom will perish.
