Forget the Wage Gap in Hillary Clinton’s Office
Hillary Clinton has finally responded to the report that in 2005, she paid the women on her staff 72 cents for every dollar a man received in salary. In an email to the Washington Examiner, Clinton’s spokesman Nick Merrill wrote, “A majority of her Senate staff were women. Women held most of the senior-most positions – including her Chief of Staff. Four of the five highest paid positions in her office were held by women. If the American workforce looked more like Senator Clinton’s staff, we would be in far better shape on this issue, one that she’s been a fierce advocate for throughout her entire career.” As Examiner commentator Ashe Schow points out, if Clinton’s own office can’t bridge the wage gap, as it’s so called by the Left, then why does she assume its something that is easily changed?
