Re: Trump’s 2024 Ledger of Assets and Liabilities

Articles of this caliber of insight are why The Patriot Post is quite simply the best conservative digest on the Web. I am a Trump supporter, but I have been disappointed in his latest bumbling mistakes in interviews. And his betrayal of those who have been loyal to him is disgraceful, particularly his nasty comments about his former press secretary.“ —Connecticut

Well of course Trump is leading in the polls — he sucks the air out of every room he is in. But the real question is, can he win? Alexander thinks he actually could win, but I think once the Democrat electors appoint a younger and more dynamic candidate at the end to the primary, they will hand Trump a more resounding defeat than in 2020. Caveat Emptor! —Oregon

I like Ron DeSantis, but think a Trump/DeSantis ticket could both win, and this tag team would clean house. —New York

I am a lifelong Republican and a conservative. I voted for Trump twice. I will not support him in 2024! His "Trump First” platform will further embolden the Left and destroy the Right, precisely why the Left hopes he is the nominee. —Texas

Republicans who back Trump are doing themselves and the country a great disservice. DeSantis with Haley or Scott would make a great ticket moving forward. But the most important thing is to undo the evil done by Biden, and that will not happen unless a Republican is elected, which requires an electable Republican, not a 2020 do-over. —Pennsylvania

Re: Hunter Sues IRS, IRS Audits More Americans

Another sneaky way Joe Biden has raised taxes, even on the working poor: The inflation adjustment for the standard income tax exemption has been significantly less than the actual rate of inflation. In 2019, the standard deduction for a single person was $12,200. Running that through an ordinary inflation calculator says the deduction for 2022 should have been $13,966. However, the IRS only adjusted it to $12,950, meaning the working poor paid taxes on $1,000 more than they should have. This failure to correctly adjust the standard deduction resulted in a $101 tax increase on everyone for 2022, including those who can least afford it, on top of another inflation-driven tax increase for 2021. —Minnesota

Re: Hunter Sues IRS, IRS Audits More Americans

If inflation is only 17%, why has my food bill doubled? Why is gas almost two times as much? In my world, the numbers would be closer to 50% or 100% depending on what we’re talking about. Just 17% would be a breeze compared to what’s actually happening. They can throw numbers around all day long, but my food alone has doubled in price, since the buffoon we have for a president came to town. We have less national unity than any other time in my life and a media that has sold us out. Where are the men and leaders? —Oregon

Re: Chicago Mayor Defines Deviancy Down

And just how does Chicago’s mayor think the city will prevent residents from freeloading the items in their publicly owned grocery stores? Economics 101: There is no such thing as a nonprofit entity. You either make a small profit or you are losing money. It doesn’t matter if you are a private business or a government one. If the residents steal more than they buy, the prices will have to go up. Even Chicago will run out of money to keep it open. The only solution would be for them to enact police on site or no clients in the store (i.e., bring a list and the clerks retrieve the goods). —Florida

Re: The Execution of an LA County Sheriff’s Deputy

How many more LEOs have to be murdered in cold blood before these politicians are put out of office? Newsom and Gascon are blights on the West Coast and their effluent is metastasizing. —Nevada

Re: Uncommon Valor

I have asked the same question myself many times: How many of us will have the courage to stand up for America and our God-given rights? I hope there will be many, including my family and friends who will find the courage. However, I know many who will say, “They made the bed, now sleep in it” or die. Will they say I wasn’t a part of this downfall, so why should I give my life when the people who did cause the problems won’t? Valid questions, but that is not how I was raised, so I would fight and die for my country, family, and friends. If I didn’t, I couldn’t live with myself. —Alaska

Re: The Kamala Problem

The unborn child is not dead, but alive; is not a frog, chicken, or rock, but is human. Moreover, the Declaration of Independence does not guarantee freedom for responsibility for pregnancy, but it does guarantees the right to life defined as self-evident, endowed by our Creator, and unalienable. I can find no room for compromise. Men must own this issue before intercourse! This is an issue for both mother and father. —Missouri

Re: The First Amendment Prevails Against Biden

“Social” media doesn’t need Joe Biden or anybody else to control them. They are in the hands of leftists in the first place. I’ve had three screen name accounts closed by Facebook, and two by AOL. The one AOL account I post under now has been relegated to permanent solitary confinement. I used to get likes and debates from other posters, but the last one was 11 weeks ago. Our media — news, social, and other — is in the hands of our nation’s enemies as sure as I’m sitting here typing this. —California
