COMRADE KAMALA IS DANGEROUSLY LIBERAL – AND SHE CAN’T HIDE FROM IT

• For more than a month, Harris’ campaign website lacked any detail about specific policies she plans to implement as president.
• From the little Harris has said, she would be the most radical, far-left president in U.S. history.
  • According to Kamala Harris herself, “I am a radical. I do believe that we need to get radical about what we are doing.”
  • Based on her senatorial voting record, Harris is more progressive than Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders.
• While Harris will attempt to walk back her most extreme positions on the debate stage and pretend she can wipe away her past – make no mistake, Harris’ values have not changed.
• As president, Harris would implement Soviet-style price controls, eliminate private health insurance, pass the largest tax hike in American history, ban fracking, decriminalize illegal immigration, and more.

HARRIS IS PROPOSING THE LARGEST TAX HIKE IN AMERICAN HISTORY

• Harris has pledged to eliminate President Trump’s tax cuts.
  • President Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act created a deduction for households with income from small businesses.
  • By repealing Trump’s tax cuts, Harris would rase taxes on nearly 26 million small business owners.
• Harris wants to raise the federal capital gains tax to 33 percent – the highest capital gains tax since 1978.
  • By comparison, China has a 20 percent capital gains tax and Europe’s average capital gains tax is 17.9 percent.
  • Raising the capital gains tax is likely to damp investment and reduce risk-taking.
• Harris supports a minimum 25 percent taxon unrealized gains for some Americans – meaning they would have to pay taxes on assets that increased in value even if they didn’t sell it.
  • Taxing unrealized gains would likely reduce incentives to investand hurt the long-term growth of the economy.
  • A tax on unrealized gains is opposed by three-quarters of Americans.
  • While Democrats pretend this tax will only hit the rich, in reality it will hurt family businesses and farms.
• Harris wants to raise the business tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent.
  • In 2024, the Tax Foundation estimated that raising the corporate income tax to 28 percent would kill 125,000 jobs, shrink the economy, and cut wages.
  • Known as “the most harmful tax for economic growth,” raising the corporate tax rate would worsen the competitive position of U.S. businesses and reduce prospects for business investment and workers.
  • Harris’ tax hike would give the U.S. a higher corporate tax rate than communist China.
  • American workers would bear the bruntof Harris’ corporate tax increase.
  • By raising the corporate tax rate, American families would be hitwith increased utility bills due to increased costs for utility providers.
  • When including state taxes, corporate taxes would jump to the second highest in the OECD, after Columbia.
• Harris supports second death tax by removing the step-up in basis.
  • This will impose a “steep tax increase and paperwork nightmare for small businesses, farms, and families.”
• Harris wants to quadruple taxes on stock buybacks, which would discourage investment and burden every American with a 401k, IRA, or union pension.

HARRIS WANTS TO BAN FRACKING

• In her last days as California Attorney General, Harris sued the Obama administration for allowing fracking off the California coast.
• In 2016, Harris said “I’m very skeptical of fracking.” 
• In August 2019, while running for president, Harris said “there’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking.
  • Harris then added, "We have to just acknowledge that the residual impact of fracking is enormous in terms of the health and safety of communities.”
• In September 2019, Harris told Jimmy Fallon she was committed to “finally putting an end to fracking once and for all.”
• The U.S. Chamber of Commerce found that a ban on fracking would destroy 19 million jobs and reduce GDP by $7.1 trillion.
  • For the average American, the cost of living would rise by $5,661 and household energy bills would quadruple.
  • A ban on fracking would cause the price of gasoline to double.

HARRIS WANTS TO IMPLEMENT SOVIET-STYLE PRICE CONTROLS

• Harris wants to impose communist-style controls over the food supply.
• When price controls are put in place, shortages, rationing, and corruption tend to be the result.
  • Argentina suffered a beef shortage due to price controls.
  • Price controls in Venezuela forced citizens to turn to the black market for milk and toilet paper, and food would rot before it even reached the supermarket.
  • The Soviet Union saw shortages and hoarding, with many shelves empty.
• The IMF warns that price controls create incentives for individuals or groups to bribe

HARRIS’ HOUSING PLANS WOULD RAISE COSTS

• Harris wants to provide first-time homebuyers with $25,000 to help with the down payment on a new home, but is doing nothing to increase the supply of new homes.
• Economists have said that Harris’ new homebuyer tax credit would actually cause home prices to rise even more, doing nothing to make homeownership more affordable for the middle class.  
  • The Committee For A Responsible Federal Budget says that Harris’ housing plan would cost $200 billion over four years, with the $25,000 tax credit costing $100 billion alone.
  • The Penn Wharton Budget Model estimates that this tax credit would cost $138 billion over 10 years.
• Harris would also implement federal rent control, limiting rent increases by certain landlords at no more than 5 percent per year.
  • A majority of economists agree that rent control policies hurt housing markets and ultimately limits supply.
  • Under Harris’ leadership, rent prices have already increased by 22 percent.

HARRIS WILL EMPOWER “DEFUND THE POLICE” ACTIVISTS AND CAVE TO CRIMINALS

• Harris has praised the “defund the police” movement, saying the movement “rightly” called out the amount of money spent on police departments instead of community services.
• Harris has repeatedly stated that the U.S. needs to “reimagine” law enforcement, arguing for less police in the streets and redirecting funding from law enforcement to other services.
• Harris believes it is “outdated” and “wrongheaded” to think that more policing will make communities safer, adding, “what we have to do, and what we will do, is reimagine public safety.”
  • Harris supports diverting resources away from law enforcement to “addressing mental health, homeless and substance abuse.” 
• As a senator, Harris applauded Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s move to cut about $150 million from a planned increase to the city’s police budget.
  • Harris: “We’ve got to reexamine what we’re doing with American taxpayer dollars. … I applaud Eric Garcetti for doing what he’s done.”
  • Los Angeles has begun to reverse course amid a years-long decline in LAPD officers and a surge in violent crime.
• In 2022, Harris endorsed Democrat Senate nominee Mandela Barnes, a radical activist who has called to defund the police and abolish ICE.
  • Barnes also repeatedly advocated for cutting Wisconsin’s prison population in half. 
• Harris supports eliminating cash bail, a disastrous policy that releases dangerous offenders out onto the streets.
  • In 2017, Harris introduced a bill that would incentivize states to end cash bail.
  • In 2019, Harris bragged about being a “leader” in the push to “get rid of the cash bail system in America.”

HARRIS WANTS TO DECRIMINALIZE IMMIGRATION

• For years, Harris has repeatedly said that “an undocumented immigrant is not a criminal.”
  • In 2016, Harris even said that she would get rid of the term “illegal alien.”
• Harris has advocated for decriminalizing border crossings, saying “we will not treat people who are undocumented and who cross the border as criminals.”
• At a primary debate in 2019, Harris raised her hand in favor of decriminalizing illegal border crossings.
• Harris said that an illegal immigrant “should not be deported” if they don’t commit a crime.
• Harris criticized President Trump’s plan to deport illegal immigrants as “outrageous,” “ridiculous,” and “crazy.”
• Harris also supports a radical piece of legislation that would give citizenship to previously deported immigrants.
  • The U.S. Citizenship Act was sent to Congress by the Harris-Biden administration, and the 2024 DNC platform pledged to pass this bill.
  • In June 2021, Harris thanked Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) for “leading the way on the U.S. Citizenship Act.”
  • The U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021 would establish “an earned roadmap to citizenship for undocumented individuals” where illegal immigrants that the Trump administration deported would be eligible for temporary status even if they are not physically present in the United States.

HARRIS WANTS TO DESTROY PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE

• Harris was the first Democrat to co-sponsor Bernie Sanders’ socialist health care plan, which would cost over $32 trillion and raise taxes on the middle-class. 
• Harris called co-sponsoring the bill that would eliminate private health insurance “the right thing to do” and said that it “makes sense from a fiscal standpoint.”
• Harris said “I support” ending private health insurance as her “preferred policy,” and that she specifically “support[s] the bill” introduced by Bernie Sanders.
• Harris was an original co-sponsor for Bernie Sanders’ bills to eliminate private health insurance in 2017and 2019.
• Harris said that the bill to eliminate private health insurance would be “the ultimate and great place to be.”
• Harris expressed support for a socialist health care system in California.
• Harris and Bernie Sanders were the only Democrat presidential candidates in 2019 who acknowledged they would abolish their private health insurance for a government-issued plan.

HARRIS WILL DEVASTATE AMERICA’S AUTO INDUSTRY

• As senator, Harris backed the Zero-Emission Vehicles Act of 2019, a “bold plan for transitioning the United States to 100% zero-emission vehicles.”
  • After 2040, the legislation would have given the EPA administrator the power to “issue an injunction on the manufacture of any passenger vehicles other than zero emission vehicles by a vehicle manufacturer.”
• In 2020, her presidential platform called for banning internal combustion engine cars by 2035.
• As vice-president, Harris pushed for EPA regulations that are expected to make more than two-thirds of passenger cars and light trucks sold electric or hybrid by 2032.
• In December 2021, Harris tweeted, “to meet our climate goals, we must invest in zero emission vehicles,” adding that the Harris-Biden admin was “making the largest-ever investment in electric vehicle infrastructure and technology in our nation’s history with our Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.”
  • In December 2023, Harris later touted the administration s efforts to build 500,000 electric vehicle chargers.
    • By June of 2024, only seven of those 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations had been built.
