“The Nobel Peace Prize lost its nobility when it was bestowed upon Obama. Another trophy just for being on the team, even if the team loses.”

Re: The VA’s Incredible Waste Problem

“Waste, fraud, and abuse were always present to a certain extent in the federal government. However, it skyrocketed after 1913, when the Federal Reserve Act was passed and the 16th Amendment was ratified. The ability to create money out of thin air and simultaneously impose a tax on income presented members of Congress with virtually unlimited opportunities to enrich themselves and their cronies through waste, fraud, and abuse at taxpayer expense; and to date, they have not disappointed.” —Kentucky

“The fraud is legit and many admit it … to one another. The real problem is the buddy-buddy culture of some claims reps. Some vets are denied legitimate claims while others enjoy tax-free largesse. The scuttlebutt is that certain VAMCs are ‘no questions asked’ when applying.” —Virginia

“I am a Vietnam veteran (Army). When I came back, I started having panic attacks. Everyone told me to file a claim with the VA. I believed that the VA was here for those who come back wounded or with missing limbs. I handled my issue in other ways and was able to overcome those panics. I have since learned how ordinary veterans are fleecing the VA just for the money. They should be ashamed.” —Texas

“While there are many veterans gaming the system, many only get disability benefits for service-related conditions. And if their disability rating is under 50%, they, like my husband, pay for their own disability benefits via dollar-for-dollar reductions in their military retirement pension. The waste and fraud need to stop. But reductions in pensions shouldn’t happen to pay for service-caused disability benefits. This has gone on for decades and is very unfair.” —Delaware

“Our veterans deserve our help coping with service-related injuries. But when the government makes something available at no cost, there will be people who line up to get it. Veterans, like other citizens, are not above exaggerating their needs in order to get a piece of the pie. Like all bureaucracies, the VA has a conflict of incentives. Yes, they want to serve our veterans, but they are also aware that the larger the need can be made to appear, the larger the budget demand. Though I don’t think the VA is any more egregious than other government bureaucracies.” —Texas

Re: The Sanctuary Showdown

“Governor Pritzker’s accusation that the National Guard is plotting to literally steal the next election by grabbing the ballot boxes is very interesting given Democrats’ propensity for projection and the history of voter fraud in Illinois. The federal government should invoke its power to enforce the Voting Rights Act and send agents to Chicago to monitor every step of the election process. Make sure the number of ballots and voters match!” —Minnesota

“My wife is Ukrainian, our extended family is Ukrainian, in the U.S. on U4U, and they are apprehensive. They fear being accosted by ICE and taken to detention, even though they are legal. Far-fetched? Maybe. But my point is the devastation illegal immigration has wrought, and a part of that plays out in the hostilities and ambivalence legal immigrants face today. U4U paroles are NOT being extended in a timely fashion, and thousands of Ukrainian refugees have already been forced to leave.” —Oklahoma

Re: Trump Wins Peace, ‘Loses’ Nobel

“I don’t care that the Nobel Committee snubbed President Trump. At this point, they’re nothing more than a group of leftist lickspittles, and the prize is a participation trophy on steroids. Everyone knows what the president has achieved, and no matter how the Left spins or ignores the facts, Donald J. Trump will go down in history as being the Peace President.” —Washington State

“The Nobel Peace Prize lost its nobility when it was bestowed upon Obama. Another trophy just for being on the team, even if the team loses.” —Georgia

Re: The FAFO DOJ Comes for NY AG Letitia James

“In the court of public opinion, she is guilty. Don’t hold your breath waiting for equitable treatment by the liberal courts or the New York Bar. She will be adjudicated with a slap on the wrist, and it will not leave a visible bruise.” —Georgia
