Re: 250 Years of American Liberty, With a Heart of Gratitude
“Amid all the New Year MSM doom and gloom, this gem from Alexander really shines bright on the goodness of our nation and our distinguished Patriot history! Thank you.” —Ohio
“Thank you for faithfully carrying the torch of Liberty. I’m so grateful to receive The Patriot Post. God’s best blessings be on you in 2026.” —California
“What a great column to launch a great year! Welcome in America’s 250th!” —Massachusetts
Re: Looking Beyond Minnesota’s Fraud Scandal
“The framers of the Constitution never envisioned the federal government in the childcare business. We should be funding the military, roads, and infrastructure. Everything else should be funded by the states on programs citizens vote for. I never voted for financing daycare centers. Welfare should be for those too old to work or disabled. If we got the illegals out of the country, there would be jobs for everyone able to work. Work was what God intended when Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden.” —Alabama
“Our government agencies have been overrun with people who are trying to fix what doesn’t need fixing. They want to make it easier for the non-Americans because they ostensibly don’t understand the language or the customs or any number of other things like laws and regulations. Hogwash — I say they understand just fine, but the bleeding hearts are too stupid to figure out they have been lied to and stolen from. It’s time these people get pushed out of these agencies for incompetence.” —Wisconsin
“The discovery of fraud across many government programs and widespread multi-generational dependence should cause us to reexamine the premises behind them. They are not an effective use of the people’s money; we’re enabling poverty and theft rather than making more of the population productive. It isn’t true that without government taxation the work won’t be done. Singapore funds its social programs through a philanthropic Community Chest model. We can do better.” —Minnesota
Re: CBS Anchor Announces Plan to Start Doing Journalism
“This was the narrative for most of Biden’s presidency, and honestly for his campaign. Just because CBS is saying it’s going to do better and things are going to change is not reassuring for those of us that were paying attention. They were dishonest in their reporting, not even mentioning some of the most glaring and offensive moves by the Democrat Party. So, who is responsible for all the lies and misleading information? The legacy media or the Democrats? I think that they share a common agenda, and it has nothing to do with everyday Americans like myself.” —Florida
“‘On too many stories, the press has missed the story. Because we’ve taken into account the perspective of advocates and not the average American.’ That’s a diplomatic way of admitting the newsroom has been taking directions from a certain political party, or at least has been partisan, depending on how it’s parsed.” —Minnesota
Re: Property Tax Relief: A Winning Issue
“I agree. This would absolutely be a winning message for the GOP. Ask anyone wanting to purchase a home today — one of the reasons they can’t afford one is property taxes. The PMI premiums and homeowners insurance are also huge additions to monthly mortgage payments. Where I live, my property tax is 2.0%. That adds a huge amount to my monthly mortgage payment. Then add in the homeowners insurance and PMI premiums if you can’t afford 20% down, and it doesn’t really matter what the interest rate is — a house is simply unaffordable for most, but especially for young people. Cities, counties, and states all benefit from property taxes, but they can reduce taxes and be forced to waste less of our money on ridiculous things.” —California
Re: Seditionist Kelly Censured by DOD
“Best recap of the issue I’ve read to date. The UCMJ is our military rules for conduct — laws, if you will. As a Master Chief, I was called upon to enforce it alongside my CO. Captain’s mast was rarely pleasant, but a necessity for good order. Commander Kelly, as a Captain, surely knew what he was wading into.” —Washington
“He was definitely crossing the line with his comments/accusations, and it was definitely not protected speech by any means.” —Kentucky
Re: Trump Openly States His Support for Iranian Protesters
“With all of the bad news floating around, this is a welcome message for the world. In a normal world, this might encourage the Trump haters to give a second thought to their leader and the good he is promoting. It is visible evidence that he is out to make America great again — not only at home, but across the world. America has nearly always been seen as the savior of the free world, and now, after several decades of worthless presidents, we are rising to that status again.” —Washington
