Re: College Degrees Yielding Service Jobs With Low Wages
“It’s frustrating to see entry-level tech and engineering jobs increasingly going to H-1B visa holders instead of new American college graduates. Companies claim they can’t find qualified talent, yet they’re often hiring cheaper foreign workers on temporary visas for roles that used to be perfect stepping stones for our own grads starting their careers. We need reforms that prioritize domestic talent first.” —Washington
“What is a college diploma really worth? It’s a sheepskin on the wall required for most higher-level jobs/careers. Therefore, the best advice for most high school grads is to get a service job first and work on a college degree as you can afford it. Then, when a management or other position requiring a college degree comes along, they are qualified and debt free.” —Florida
“1. Teach youth to earn what they have. Stop feeding their lust. Nurture and reward discipline. 2. Send youth to do menial tasks for the elderly and infirm. Baby Boomers need help and can pay. 3. Hire youth for low-wage jobs with FISA withholdings. Show them government costs. 4. Demand students pay for college. No beach parties, no loans, just work and study. 5. If you can’t afford college, learn a trade, earn blue-collar money, then go to college. 6. Get scholarships (ROTC still works) or be a student worker (i.e. teacher’s assistant). 7. Prohibit participation trophies. Rewards must be individually merited.” —Missouri
Re: How Biden Weaponized the DOJ Against Christians
“Democrats are intent on ruling this nation. If this concept is hard to believe, check out their history: a civil war to keep slaves and 60 million babies aborted. The fewer people there are, the less trouble. The war on the Second Amendment and law-abiding citizens systematically weakens our justice system. None of this is accidental. The governor of my state is disarming citizens as the crime rate rises. Don’t waste time on the Leftmedia and pay attention.” —Colorado
Re: Mamdani’s Grocery Plan Is No Bread, All Circus
“It’s interesting that Zohran Mamdani thinks his store is the panacea for unaffordability. His store comprises only one part of the food chain. If the ‘corporations’ control the rest of the chain, doesn’t that cripple his store’s ability to deliver? Or is he already building an excuse for its failure? ‘Well, those greedy corporations control all the rest of the food chain, so we never had a chance.’ The next logical step is creating competition for those greedy corporations. Will Mamdani take it all the way back to the farmers? There’s not too much arable land in NYC.” —Illinois
Re: Is Just War Theory Just Theory?
“Pope Leo is well versed in liberation theology, something I thought the last few popes had stamped out. Pope Francis proved it was alive and well. Liberation theology is hardcore leftism, maybe even communism-lite.” —North Dakota
“The pope should be much more concerned about the rapidly growing attacks on Christianity (his constituents). President Trump, by decapitating the head of the snake, the radical Islamists running Iran, could have a lasting impact on ending the worldwide spread of Islam and related forms of virulent theocracy. Hopefully he has awakened Europe to the negative impact of the flood of Muslims who have overwhelmed counties there due to unrestricted immigration, which accelerated during COVID.” —Illinois
Re: The Pope-Trump Controversy Explained
“Very good objective analysis. I would add that Trump has a practice of tweaking antagonists, and wearing the cloaks they see themselves in does that.” —Iowa
