Lois Lerner’s Personal Email
No wonder she pleaded the Fifth.
Rep. Darrell Issa, chair of the House Oversight Committee, says that Lois Lerner, the now-retired IRS agent at the center of the Tea Party targeting scandal, sent confidential taxpayer information using a personal email account. Three other agents likewise engaged in this illegal activity. “This not only raises the prospect of violations of the Federal Records Act but it also raises data security concerns and violates internal IRS policies.” Issa wrote to now-IRS commissioner Daniel Werfel. No wonder Lerner pleaded the Fifth.
