Zero Tolerance Expulsion
More nonsense out of Maryland.
18-year-old Patrick Bryan Mitchell, a senior at Maryland’s South River High School, was arrested and expelled by the school earlier this year for unintentionally leaving a firearm inside his vehicle following a hunting excursion. But he wasn’t the only one out hunting – so were the PC police. Mitchell was late to class one morning and drove to school; that was when the weapon was discovered by an official evaluating the car’s outdated parking permit. He’s now working tirelessly just to finish class requirements for graduation, and he now has zero chance of attaining an athletic scholarship to Pfeiffer College. The expulsion is being appealed to the school board, though the district’s legal director Laurie Pritchard contends that the right decision was reached. “We’re very lucky nothing happened,” she claims. Luckily, the weapon didn’t walk out of the car and start discharging by itself. Once again, zero tolerance makes absolutely zero sense.
