13.4% of Americans Still Without Insurance
Apparently, a relatively large percentage of Americans didn’t get the memo. With ObamaCare now in effect, insurance coverage is required for most people, but according to Gallup, 13.4% have still not enrolled. CNSNews reports, “While the percentage of people uninsured nationally declined from 17.3% in 2013 to 13.4% in the second quarter of 2014, reported Gallup, there are still many Americans who answered ‘no,’ they do not have coverage.” Texas tops the list with 24% opting not to enroll. Mississippi is next with 20.6%. Georgie takes third place at 20.2%. Most of the uninsured – some of whom couldn’t keep their plan even if they liked it – are discovering they can’t afford the high cost of ObamaCare premiums and that they’re better off paying the fine instead.
