DOJ Finds No Link to Christie and Bridge-gate
After a nine-month investigation, the Department of Justice has found no evidence that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie ordered the closing of the George Washington Bridge to enact revenge on a politician who did not endorse his candidacy. It appears his staff acted alone, apart from his knowledge or consent. “That’s good news for him,” Lee Miringoff said, director for the Marist Institute for Public Opinion. “The bad news remains that politically as chief executive it looks like he was not in control of his administration at the time when this occurred.” More…
