White House Decides It’s a Good Idea to Lock the Front Door
Did you know anyone can walk right through the front doors of the White House once security has been evaded? At least they could – until officials decided it would be a good idea to start securing the entryway. Following several incidents over the weekend in which fence-jumpers sent the Secret Service scurrying to prevent something more serious, Press Secretary Josh Earnest announced, “[W]hen the door is not in use, it will be secured.” Earnest added that “Providing security at the White House is a complicated business.” Really, how complicated can it be?
