Immigrants Not Showing Up for Court Hearings
The vast majority of cases decided in immigration court are made with the alien not present, according to documents by the Executive Office of Immigration Review. Why? The aliens who were detained and then released into the Untied States didn’t bother to show up for their hearings. Talk about a “respect” for Rule of Law. Breitbart reports, “According to the EOIR documents, in that two-and-a-half month period from mid-July to early October, immigration judges across the country rendered 3,885 decisions on removal cases dealing with ‘aliens’ in family units. Of those decisions, 94 percent (3,661) were made ‘in absentia,’ or the alien’s failure to appear resulted in an order of removal.” While a no-show results in the judge ordering the person to be deported, the alien still stayed home.
