White House Tells Hospitals to Build Around Global Warming
The White House is pushing the health industry to conform to its false premise of man-made “climate change.” In a report the bureaucrats upstairs painted a picture of how hospitals in the future should be built, just in case Sharknado ever becomes a reality. According to the report, “For critical health care facilities, it is no longer acceptable to design new buildings using current disaster thresholds. Planning must recognize that hospitals have a minimum life of 50 years. Health care organizations should use predictive climate models to set design values, such as maximum outdoor air temperatures for load sizing, maximum rainfall events for stormwater systems, projected sea level rise for minimum elevations, and maximum wind speeds for enclosures of critical spaces.” While overbuilding is prudent, such designs could very well drive up the cost to build hospitals. Which is better: a hospital plan killed because of bureaucracy, or an operational hospital that disregards Chicken Little rhetoric? More…
