‘Interesting Stuff Happens in the Fourth Quarter’
Barack Obama has already been doing way too much by executive order – and executive memo – and we expect that, not only is he not done, but he may pick up the pace. During a press conference Friday, he said, “In terms of my own job, uh, I’m energized, uh, I’m excited about the prospects for the next couple of years, and I’m certainly not going to be stopping for a minute in the effort to make life better for ordinary Americans.” He continued, “We are better positioned than we have been in a very long time. A new future is ready to be written. We’ve set the stage for – uh, for this American moment. And I’m going to spend every minute of my last two years making sure that we seize it. Um, my presidency is entering the fourth quarter. Interesting stuff happens in the fourth quarter, and, uh, I’m looking forward to it.” We shudder to think what “interesting stuff” he has in store for our nation as he and a Republican Congress face off and we all wait for his clock to run out.
