NC School Teaches Islam in Vocabulary Class
Funny how schools use vocabulary to subtly push a message. While kids are focused on learning words like “astute,” “conducive” and “erratic,” one school in Farmville, North Carolina, (a real place outside the Facebook game – we checked) taught students vocabulary using sentences like, “Mohammed, who was familiar with the teachings of Judaism and Christianity, found solitude to be conducive to understanding proper faith. He also found meditation to be helpful.” According to Fox News’ Todd Starnes, the school didn’t quite answer him when he asked for school materials talking just as amicably about Christianity or Judaism. And why is this school teaching a religion lesson in the middle of vocabulary class? Perhaps we can thank Common Core for that. More…
