Obama Wants to Be Friends With Iran
If Barack Obama gets his way, the U.S. will erect a U.S. embassy in the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, Iran. It wasn’t enough, apparently, to normalize relations with Cuba. “I never say never, but I think these things have to go in steps,” Obama told NPR, even though “steps” for Obama means leaps and bounds for everyone else. “I was asked very early in my – my presidential race back in 2007 – would I meet with these various rogue regimes? And what I said then remains true. If I thought it advances American interests, yes. I believe in diplomacy; I believe in dialogue; I believe in engagement.” Who wants to bet that if an embassy is built, it will be in the same location as the one where 52 American diplomats were captured and held for 444 days?
