State Dept: We Didn’t Actually Review Clinton Foundation Donations
While serving as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton’s family foundation took millions of dollars in donations from foreign governments. But not to worry; last Thursday, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters, “[W]e have reviewed every donation that was submitted.” Only if by “every donation” she meant “none of them.” Politico’s Josh Gerstein flatly states, “[T]here are no indications any Clinton Foundation donations were ever sent to the State Department for approval.” The only money that was reviewed were payments for Bill Clinton’s hundreds of speeches, meaning Hillary Clinton repeatedly violated rules for disclosure and review. Put that with the disclosures about Benghazi and her exclusive use of private email to conduct State business, and she’s really building up her résumé, Clinton style.
