Here’s How the Clinton Foundation Took Care of Blumenthal
After longtime Clinton lackey Sidney Blumenthal was rejected for a government position in the Obama administration serving Hillary Clinton, the Clintons hired him for $10,000 a month at the Clinton Foundation. Talk about keeping your friends close. It was from there that Blumenthal wrote dispatches to Clinton, who was then-secretary of state, about the deteriorating security in Libya. Clinton now claims those emails were sent unsolicited by her longtime friend. But she did pass Blumenthal’s intelligence around, in effect, relying on him as her personal intelligence service. “While Blumenthal’s foundation job focused on highlighting the legacy of Clinton’s presidency, some officials at the charity questioned his value and grumbled that his hiring was a favor from the Clintons, according to people familiar with the foundation,” Politico reports. “They say that, during a 2013 reform push, Blumenthal was moved to a consulting contract that came with a similar pay rate but without benefits — an arrangement that endured until March.” Blumenthal is not the only Clinton lackey to be hired by the Clinton Foundation, as three others were also on the payroll.
