A Million More Baracks
He hasn't quietly retired. Instead, Obama's aim is still all about pushing his leftist agenda.
Narcissist in Chief Barack Obama is at it again, this time at a conference in Japan. During his on-stage interview Sunday, Obama explained the vision behind his Obama Foundation — getting young people connected and working to change the world. He opined, “If I could do that effectively, then — you know — I would create a hundred or a thousand or a million young Barack Obamas or Michelle Obamas. Or the next group of people who could take that baton in that relay race that is human progress.” Michelle recently said the same thing: “I’m not going to run for president. Because I think it’s a better investment to invest in creating thousands of me’s.” The last thing this world needs is a million more petty and narcissistic socialists, but, unfortunately, that’s exactly what this nation is cultivating.
Obama also took time to recognize the dubious anti-Second Amendment March of Our Lives event to praise the efforts of young people to stand up against “old men” in power. Obama opined, “A lot of our problems are caused by old men. No offense, men, who are old.” Yes, what brilliant wisdom from Obama. Let’s pay no heed to the wisdom of those who have experienced life before us, who have expended much time and energy seeking to study and understand what truly works best. Instead, let’s ignore them and listen to the young, who clearly know more about the stuff of life than do those old backwards fuddy-duddies.
He also bemoaned the fact that the news and information available to people today is not tightly controlled and regulated, which by his estimation creates too much fake news or misinformation. “One of the things we’re going to be spending time on, through the Foundation, is finding ways in which we can study this phenomenon of social media and the Internet to see if there are ways in which we can bring people from different perspectives to start having a more civil debate and listen to each other more carefully.” This from the guy who, in his first presidential campaign, told his supporters, “I want you to argue with [Republicans] and get in their face.” And who said of rhetorical battles, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”
The fact of the matter is, there are many folks on YouTube who are engaged in long-format, genuine back-and-forth discussion of ideas and debates. But Obama doesn’t want a forum for true debate and diversity of opinion. No, he wants a forum where only his leftist views are given a voice. Progress for Obama has always been about silencing conservative ideas and quashing opposition to his leftist agenda. Why else would he want “a million young Barack Obamas?”
