Critical Race Theory Training — Banned
Trump’s OMB ordered an end to all race-based training for federal employees.
One of President Donald Trump’s greatest features is his uncanny ability to expose and raise an issue that has been largely ignored or even dismissed by the mainstream media. This past Friday witnessed yet another classic example of this, as Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought announced a directive banning “critical race theory” (CRT) and “white privilege” training in all federal agencies.
The memo states in part, “All agencies are directed to begin to identify all contracts or other agency spending related to any training on ‘critical race theory,’ ‘white privilege,’ or any other training or propaganda effort that teaches or suggests either (1) that the United States is an inherently racist or evil country or (2) that any race or ethnicity is inherently racist or evil.”
Vought’s memo further explained, “The President has directed me to ensure that Federal agencies cease and desist from using taxpayer dollars to fund these divisive, un-American propaganda training sessions. Executive Branch agencies have spent millions of taxpayer dollars to date ‘training’ government workers to believe divisive, anti-American propaganda. For example, according to press reports, employees across the Executive Branch have been required to attend trainings where they are told that ‘virtually all White people contribute to racism’ or where they are required to say that they ‘benefit from racism.’ We cannot accept our employees receiving training that seeks to undercut our core values as Americans and drive division within our workforce.”
On Saturday, Trump followed up the announced ban by asserting, “[CRT] is a sickness that cannot be allowed to continue. Please report any sightings so we can quickly extinguish!”
What is CRT? As the UCLA School of Public Affairs defines it, “CRT recognizes that racism is engrained in the fabric and system of the American society. The individual racist need not exist to note that institutional racism is pervasive in the dominant culture. This is the analytical lens that CRT uses in examining existing power structures. CRT identifies that these power structures are based on white privilege and white supremacy, which perpetuates the marginalization of people of color. CRT also rejects the traditions of liberalism and meritocracy.”
Put bluntly, CRT is an academic justification for holding anti-American and anti-white prejudices. What should be plainly obvious to any objective observer is that CRT uses the guise of “anti-racism” to perpetuate actual racism. However, even more sinister, CRT serves as cover for undermining the traditional American ethic of fairness via equal opportunity in order to replace it with the fatally flawed Marxist notion of fairness brought by “equality of outcome.”
Anticipating the Left’s attack against Trump, Vought highlighted the fact that the president has been “fully committed to the fair and equal treatment of all individuals in the United States [and] has a proven track record of standing for those whose voice has long been ignored and who have failed to benefit from all our country has to offer.”
As we noted above, Trump has deftly drawn a bright red line in the raging culture war. He’s identified the growing threat to the American people and our way of life. And this threat primarily comes not from another nation but from within — from the globalist Marxist ideology that has overrun our universities, dominates pop culture, directs mainstream media, and is infiltrating every level of government. This threat strikes at the very core and essence of what America is and was founded upon — the ideals of individual Liberty and unalienable rights.
