The Mysterious BLM Money Machine
Marxists are raising tons of capital, and no one seems to care where it goes.
Anyone who still doubts the bias, the corruption, and the general worthlessness of our mainstream media should consider its obsession with Donald Trump’s taxes and its indifference toward the fundraising Fort Knox of Black Lives Matter. The former is a distraction, while the latter is a virtue-signaling shakedown scheme of unprecedented proportion.
Only in woke America could a trio of not-too-bright Marxist grifters take a three-word straw man and turn it into a firehose of corporate cash.
As Power Line’s John Hinderaker writes, “In recent months, the Black Lives Matter organization has raised hundreds of millions of dollars (possibly into the billions) from individual and corporate donations. One Minnesota businessman gave the group $25 million.”
Then he asks the question that would normally unleash an army of latter-day Woodwards and Bernsteins: “What do they do with all that cash?”
Instead, though, it’s crickets and tumbleweeds. Donald Trump’s hair-care write-offs? Stop the presses! BLM’s mysterious mountain of money? Yawwwwn.
As for where all that cash goes, the BLM website doesn’t tell us. And why should it? It’s none of our darn business where Pepsi and Nike and Apple and countless other corporate titans are sending their spare millions. One thing we do know, though, is that the money is going to a lot of lily-white leftist organizations that aren’t first and foremost focused on improving the lives of black Americans.
As Hinderaker notes, “You can donate here, but your contribution doesn’t go to BLM; at least, not directly. It goes to ActBlue Charities. ActBlue, to my knowledge, is primarily a fundraising arm of the Democratic Party, although it does raise money for far-left nonprofits as well.”
Yep, woke whites are raking in the money and funneling it to their favorite leftist causes, while poor blacks are losing their neighborhoods and businesses to rioters and arsonists (many of whom are also white).
But don’t fret. At least one enterprising black man made use of the BLM boom. As Fox News reports, “The FBI has arrested the founder of a Black Lives Matter group in Atlanta on fraud and money laundering charges. Sir Maejor Page, 32, was accused Friday of misappropriating $200,000 in donations he solicited through Facebook on behalf of Black Lives Matter of Greater Atlanta.”
In 2016, Page founded Black Lives Matter of Greater Atlanta, and in June, July, and August alone he took in donations worth more than $466,000. He’s also been arrested several times for impersonating a police officer.
Is this a great country or what?
