Americans Are Struggling in Biden’s Economy
Drastically higher prices mean paychecks aren’t going as far, and we know who’s to blame.
We noted the gray clouds in Friday’s jobs report. The Republican National Committee, which obviously has an upcoming election to win, likewise sees some things to hammer Joe Biden for:
BIDEN’S ECONOMY IS FAILING AMERICANS
- Today’s jobs report doesn’t change anything about the grim economic reality for struggling families.
- Americans are leaving the labor force, workers’ wages are not keeping up with inflation, and Biden’s agenda is making it worse.
- Biden inherited a robust recovery and is turning it into stagflation – even Biden’s own economists are warning of a recession.
- The American people can see just how bad things are and are overwhelmingly blaming Biden as a result.
- A recent CNN poll found 66 percent of Americans now disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy.
- The same poll found that Americans view the nation’s economy as the worst it has been in a decade
- According to the latest CNBC poll, only two percent of Americans view the economy as “excellent” while a majority view the economy as “poor.”
WORKERS ARE BEING LEFT BEHIND BY BIDEN
- There are still 1.1 million Americans who lost their job during the pandemic and have yet to get it back.
- The unemployment rates for Black men, Asians, Americans without a high school diploma, and Americans who attended some college all increased.
- Biden’s policies are creating a worker shortage at a time when many Americans are desperate to get back to work.
- There are 11.5 million job openingsthat businesses are struggling to fill– a record high – even though there are 5.9 million unemployed Americans trying to find a job.
- 1.7 million workers were unable to work in April because their employer was closed or had lost business because of the pandemic.
- 47 percent of small business owners say there are job openings they cannot fill – more than double the 48-year historical average.
SMALLER PAYCHECKS, HIGHER PRICES
- Americans are suffering under Biden’s agenda which led to the highest inflation in 40 years.
- Biden’s own economic team has admitted that his failed policies fueled inflation, and liberal economists have blasted his inflationary agenda.
- Bidenflation is shrinking workers’ paychecks as key inflation indicators show higher prices are here to stay.
- Under Biden’s failed economy, a record number of Americans expect their finances to worsen over the next 12 months.
- A new National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) surveyshows inflation is now the number one problem for small businesses.
- On top of rising prices, there’s no relief in sight from the “snarled” supply chain crisis that’s happening on Biden’s watch.
- Under Biden, 34 states have hit new record high gas prices, and in 35 states, Americans are paying average prices above $4 per gallon.
REPUBLICAN-LED STATES ARE DRIVING JOB GROWTH
- Biden deserves no credit for jobs that have been created – he paid Americans not to work for months and stifled economic growth.
- 250,000 fewer jobs were created in 2021 than what Biden promised.
- Republican-led states are the ones creating jobs and leading the economic recovery.
- Through March, 9 of the top 10 states for jobs recovered since the pandemic began are led by Republican governors.
- 20 of the top 25 states with the lowest unemployment rates are led by Republican governors.
ECONOMISTS ARE RAISING RECESSION CONCERNS
- Biden spent $1.9 trillion last year, only to see the economy worsen in the following months.
- Americans have seen a stifled economy and job growth, while fueling historic inflation, falling wages, and a declining standard of living for Americans.
- The U.S. economy shrank 1.4 percenton an annualized rate last quarter – well below economists’ expectations
- The Biden administration promised inflation would be “temporary” and “transitory,” yet inflation has only gotten worse.
- Now Biden is saying he is “not concerned about a recession” despite his own economists warning of a recession.
- Biden’s Labor Secretary Marty Walsh said “it is a real likelihood” the United States will have a recession.
- Biden’s economic adviser Jared Bernstein refused to rule out a recession.
BIDEN WANTS MORE IN INFLATIONARY SPENDING DESPITE A LOOMING RECESSION
- Biden continues to propose trillions in new spending which will further increase prices and raise taxes on hardworking Americans.
- Biden recently released a $5.8 trillion out-of-touch budget that will increase the national debt and waste trillions of taxpayer dollars on a far-left wish list.
- Economists across the political spectrum agree more wasteful government spending will only fuel further inflation.
- If Biden’s budget were adopted, the national debt would reach a new recordby the end of the decade, growing by over $15 trillion.
- Under this budget, the national debt would spike to about $347,000 per household, totaling $45 trillion.
- Biden’s budget will slam hardworking Americans with 36 tax hikestotaling “$2.5 trillion in new or increased taxes.”
- On top of Biden’s trillion-dollar spending spree, Biden is still attempting to pass his radical Build Back Broke agenda which he falsely claims will “lower inflationary pressures on the economy.”
- Numerous economists have warned that more spending could lead to even higher inflation which will make life harder for poor and middle-class Americans.
