Rainbow Family Feud
Is a civil war brewing within the Rainbow Mafia over “transgenderism”?
Try as one might, getting oil and water to mix simply doesn’t work. Yet despite that fact, the Rainbow Mafia has been trying to defy reality with its ever-expanding mix of sexual deviants, all held together under one common scrambled-alphabet banner. Lately, though, that banner has begun to fray as the obviously divergent groups are starting to chafe under an ideology that is attempting to hold together that which is a logical fallacy.
After succeeding in getting marriage legally redefined to include homosexual unions, the members of the Rainbow Mafia set their sights on another longtime culturally recognized and scientifically proven fact as its next target to dismantle. And that target is the reality of binary biological sex. The Rainbow Mafia embraced and elevated “transgenderism” as another color to add to its rainbow coalition, the T part of the LGBT.
The problem with this was obvious from the start. The rallying cry of the homosexual community was that they were “born this way,” while the foundational claim of the “transgender” activists was that they were “born the wrong way.” On the one hand, the Rainbow Mafia was demanding a redefinition of marriage because homosexuals couldn’t possibly change their orientation, and on the other hand the transgender activists from that same Rainbow coalition were claiming that radical and dramatic physical change was the only solution to recognizing and affirming the sexual identity of gender dysphoric individuals.
This radical change included the promulgation of a lie that all of society is called to embrace unquestioningly — the false premise that sex and gender are completely disconnected from one another and that the sexual distinctions between male and female are entirely the result of societal construction. If a biological male claims to be a woman, then he is a woman, the Rainbow Mafia declares, and any attempt to deny his claim is to deny his humanity. In fact, if a man claims to be a woman who is subsequently sexually attracted to actual women, according to the new Rainbow Mafia rules, he is to be recognized and treated as a lesbian woman.
(Just don’t ask anyone on the Left, “What is a woman?”)
Some lesbian women have attempted to call out the obvious attack on their own spaces, but largely to no avail, as they themselves are attacked and labeled “transphobic.” What goes around comes around, evidently.
Recently, a faction within the Rainbow Mafia has broken away and has called for ejecting the transgender movement from the group. Calling it the #LGBdroptheT trend, homosexuals and lesbians have been flooding social media with posts such as this: “The T hitched a ride a few years back, invited itself for dinner, and is trying to make it out that it always lived here. It didn’t. Pride marches, protests, and LGB rights happened WITHOUT the T.” Another message read: “No thanks. I’m gay (the G part) which means I exclusively like men — not women who think they’re men.”
A post from a lesbian expressed similar sentiments: “We didn’t sign up for this s***. We don’t want kids groomed. Not wanting men in our spaces or to have sex with certain genitalia does NOT make us transphobic. We promised it wasn’t the slippery slope they feared. You took advantage of our good will. It’s gone too far.”
As we and many others have observed, the great irony behind the “transgender” movement is that its biggest defenders happen to be women, and women happen to be those most endangered by the movement. This has effectively been what brave leftists like J.K. Rowling point out. To demand that society change and fully identify “transgenders” by their declared gender identity rather than by their biological sex only puts women in a dangerous place.
Meanwhile, the Rainbow Mafia isn’t about to concede the fight. The “trans” lobby has quickly dispatched its thought police to declare that the campaign to drop the T is “transphobic” and will lead to the death of more gender dysphoric individuals. GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) has condemned the “remove the T campaign” as an “outrageous and destructive idea.”
But even some Democrats are starting to realized that unquestioningly pushing the “transgender” narrative is not a winning issue for the party. Hillary Clinton recently suggested that Democrat candidates effectively avoid the issue so they can have a better chance to win elections. “Look, I’m all about having vigorous debate. I think it’s good, and it gives people a chance to be part of the process,” she argued. “But at the end of the day it means nothing if we don’t have a Congress that will get things done, and we don’t have a White House that we can count on to be sane and sober and stable and productive.”
So, rather than the Rainbow Mafia successfully destroying another bulwark of Western society, it appears some are seeing that the denial of reality inherent to the “transgender” claim is a bridge that simply won’t hold up for very long given the large cracks forming.
