Re: Senate Republicans Flay Garland
Given that OUR government is completely unwilling to protect OUR citizenry, why aren’t huge sums of money being spent on a border wall, Border Patrol agents, ICE agents, and deportations instead of on feeding, educating, transporting, and giving illegals free medical care and legal representation? It would be a more appropriate use of OUR tax money and cost a whole heck of a lot less than what is being used to buy new (illegal) Democrat voters. —Delaware
Next time someone interviews Merrick Garland, ask him why, when the FBI showed up at Roger Stones’ house at 6:00 AM, aside from the 20-something agents, they also brought a CNN camera crew. Is that part of the FBI rulebook to have a lefty video crew there to make a video record of the arrest? Does the FBI plan its raids in advance with CNN for the date and time to make sure the camera crew is available? Or is someone in the FBI Florida office on the payroll of CNN? —Illinois
More and more I’m convinced that this and some previous “administrations” are all about the “one world order” spoken of so “lovingly” by Bush Sr. during his presidential acceptance speech. I saw this speech and at the time was just beginning to understand there were serious and threatening problems within our nation. It haunts me to this day as I see more and more the dismantling and desecration of our once-strong America. Add to that the ramping up of Russia and China in what will no doubt ultimately be a massive and all-inclusive battle. —Colorado
Re: DOD Prohibits Patriotic American Flag Displays
Patriotism should be flaunted and not be hidden in the dark. There are people who will do all they can to diminish patriotism because it makes their job of dividing this nation that much more difficult. I say: There are many who gave their lives and limbs for us so we could proudly stand for the flag of the United States and all that it represents; be glad that you are able to. —Virginia
My heart goes out to your Marine son. It has to be pure torment for him to have to deal with pencil-pushers who mostly have never served time in the military and their inane edicts. —West Virginia
As a former naval officer/aviator, I will abide by my oath to support and defend our Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. We completely ignore Biden’s decrees to lower our flags as part of his anti-Second Amendment political agenda. —Massachusetts
I live in Normandy. Our family farm house was bombed in 1944 during the taking of St Lo. We have U.S. relatives of the fallen who visit the cemeteries in Normandy and I alway fly the Stars and Stripes in front of our house. God Bless America. You will rise again and be stronger. Honor your flag! —France
Re: Team Biden Exploits Migrant Children
That the administration has mismanaged the border is a given. But what is going on in Central and South America that prompts the emigration? I read references to such things as bad economies or even “global warming.” How about Nike setting up a factory in Central America instead of China? Is there a plan, by either party, to deport these children? No. Who is motivating these kids? Did Cheerios send out a press gang to round up cheap labor? Are they self-motivated like the Irish, Italians, Jews, Cubans, and Vietnamese in previous eras? Education is the top priority, and jobs need to be safe. We know permanent welfare fails. —New Hampshire
Re: Semiconducting as Social Policy
Washington larding out $280 billion to chip manufacturers — but only IF they follow unrelated mandates concerning diversity, union membership, etc. — sounds a lot like the way it uses highways funds, or the threat to withhold them, to control the behavior of the states. How would manufacturing be doing if that extra quarter-trillion dollars had never been taken by the government in the first place? Such coercion would be impossible if Washington were limited ONLY to the authorities granted it by the Constitution. I’m ashamed that the Republicans go along on this ride. —Georgia
We are increasingly dependent on our foes for essential services and supplies. This is a result of government interference in private industry. Where are the elected adults? Not the ones taking money under the table from our enemies, but the good ones? —Washington
Re: Schumer Flunks Capitalism 101
As the owners and beneficiaries of retirement accounts, we have the final say on what our money is invested in. Your investment manager is required to get your approval for trades and investments. Just say no if an investment strategy goes against your better judgment! —Maryland
Re: The Human Cost of a Woke DA
So sad, but it’s not an isolated incident. There are hundreds of documented cases of criminals released because of Democrat “no bail” laws committing additional crimes up to and including rape and murder. We can watch dozens of videos showing gangs of thugs looting jewelry stores and liquor stores and department stores and even convenience stores. Even worse, if you are a juvenile, you likely won’t do any jail time, or, at most, you’ll go to a juvenile detention center until you are 18 and then have your record expunged. In California, if you steal under $950 worth of merchandise, then it’s just a misdemeanor, so crooks are stealing with almost no fear of being apprehended and businesses are closing. When is it going to end? —Georgia
Re: In Brief: Media Idiocy on the Lab Leak
I am an engineer in several technical areas and the way I see it, using methodologies I have used to troubleshoot a problem, there are three ways, not two, in how this was released. 1) Zoonotic transmission. No evidence has ever been found to prove this, though it is the most pushed theory. 2) A bioengineered virus was released by the CCP on its own people and spread around the world. Not likely. If done, it would have been released outside of China and the CCP would have engineered a cure before releasing it. 3) Accidental release from one of two labs in Wuhan. This is most likely. Accidentally released by a tech on their own people (there is evidence), it spread worldwide and then the CCP covered it up. —Illinois
Re: Why Biden Won’t Admit ChiCom Lab COVID Origin
“Predictably, Wray’s assertion prompted Xi Jinping’s propagandist spokesperson Mao Ning to issue a rebuttal claiming U.S. officials have a ‘track record’ of ‘making up stories’” — if the ChiCom rebuttal to the U.S. revelations about the lab “leak” assertions has a hint of truth, it would be this. —Maryland
