Re: In Brief: The Dangerous Myth of the College Degree

“The language that is used for anything the government wants to sell is important, as most young folks today are no longer taught in school how to think critically. I seem to remember that Bill Clinton, before Obama, mentioned more than once that American youth were entitled to a college education. I can’t suggest what that means exactly, but I am sure young people latch onto the word ‘entitled’ whenever a politician uses the word to sell something under the guise of fairness. Life isn’t entirely fair for anyone, and the sooner one learns that lesson about life, the better.” —Pennsylvania

“College education should serve a purpose, such as preparation for professional school that requires pre-prep courses (law, dentistry, medicine, etc.) or to help achieve goals in other areas such as business. One should first have a goal, using college courses to help achieve that goal. But to take college courses merely to use as bragging rights is counterproductive. The goal needs to be established first — before the decision is made to attend college. Without a goal, floundering in what will later be useless information is highly probable. Sadly, college is attended far too often merely to please one’s parents.” —Arizona

“Mike Rowe, the ‘Dirty Jobs’ guy, has recommended that parents send their children to trade schools rather than to college. Instead of ending up with an overly expensive, relatively worthless degree, a young person can thrive in a much-needed and lucrative trade such as electrician, plumber, bricklayer, etc. And as far as these careers being lucrative, have you called a plumber lately?” —Pennsylvania

Re: The Other Teachers Union Social Justice Warrior

“The thing that scares me most about the teachers unions is that they are propaganda machines that have been largely ignored until 2020. These organizations tell the teachers that all parents are stupid and should not be raising their own children. The sad part of their agenda is that depression has exponentially grown among the young people today, and they have such a victim stance that no matter what you say to them they attack. Every day these children stay in these prisons of victimizing educators, more will die because they see no happy ending available to themselves.” —Wisconsin

Re: The End Is Near for Angry Ol’ Joe

“Trump fans take note: Though I believe Donald Trump was cheated out of his rightful victory in 2020, getting cheated is not a qualification for office and will not outweigh his electoral weaknesses. Trump was remarkably effective as president, but his immature demeanor never wore well with the American people. And though the various legal maneuvers being used against him are based on fabrications and distortions, they’ve been effective: he’s damaged goods. Running against Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, Donald Trump would stand a chance of victory, though his election would by no means be certain. But against RFK Jr. or even Gavin Newsom (either of whom would have the advantage of a complicit media), TRUMP WILL LOSE.” —Georgia

Re: Is Religious Liberty No Longer a Human Right?

“I do not understand how my belief that God has used the word ‘debauchery’ to describe the behavior of the Rainbow Mafia creates such a war-like atmosphere. I know of no religious person who has threatened this group with violence, yet they use such hate to describe us. I do not hate any of them, but a sin is a sin, and just because it has many colors does not dress it up. I pray that God will correct them because that is what He asks me to do. I see young people playing dress-up and pray they grow up. I wish I knew where this violence has happened that they keep talking about, because all I’ve seen is the violence they have perpetrated on the religious.” —Wisconsin

Re: The Desperation to Silence the ‘Sound of Freedom’

“Considering the volume and viciousness of the flak attack that the movie has been receiving, we can rather confidently conclude that it is indeed solidly over the target and poses an existential threat to those who stand to profit the most. Full speed ahead!” —Virginia
