It Don’t Mean a Thing if It Ain’t Got That Ring
The Second Session of the 112th Congress is continuing down the same muddy path as did the First Session. Americans including the Tea Party were lulled into a false sense of hope by John Boehner, Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy. Their Pledge to America was a sham and nothing has been or is being done to bring the “Pledge” to fruition. On Page 4, the Pledge reiterates the truths spelled out in our founding documents.http://www.scribd.com/fullscreen/38020848
Page 5 makes the Pledge, “With this document, we pledge to dedicate ourselves to the task of reconnecting our highest aspirations to the permanent truths of our founding by keeping faith with the values our nation was founded on, the principles we stand for, and the priorities of our people. This is our Pledge to America.”
The “Pledge” is written in convoluted rhetoric; on its face it looks fine but says nothing and “Pledges’ nothing concrete except 1) dedication, 2) reconnecting, 3) Keeping faith with the values… 4) …the principles…5) and the priorities of our people.
Page 7 notes, "A plan to create…must be the first and most urgent domestic priority for our government.” The “Pledge” offers to accomplish the plan by “repealing job killing policies and taking steps to assure…”
On Page 8 They pledge to, “We will also prevent Washington from forcing responsible taxpayers to subsidize irresponsible behavior by ending bailouts permanently, canceling the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), and reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.”
Continuing on Page 8, “With common-sense exceptions for seniors, veterans, and our troops, we will roll back government spending to pre-stimulus, pre-bailout levels, saving us at least $100 billion in the first year alone and putting us on a path to balance the budget and pay down the debt. We will also establish strict budget caps to limit federal spending from this point forward”
Promises, promises and still more unkept promises; like this example, “We offer a plan to repeal and replace the government takeover of health care.” Page 8. The blame game is in full swing. Boehner says Obama will entertain no legislation to change ObamaCare. At this point we need to examine Obama’s role in the failure of our government to take needed action. This narcissistic interloper has brought our government to impasse after impasse. He struts like a Peacock in full plumage chasing the Peahen. Obama talks and talks but puts nothing in writing, John Boehner comments on these non productive antics by Obama. Obama keeps on making appointments without Congressional consultation; he uses executive orders to replace legislation. All this is being done without action by Congress as required by the Constitution.
Did not Boehner et al in The Pledge assert they would reform government? They pledged to restore government to work from the bottom up; Americans telling the government how we want our government to function. Instead, Obama has been allowed to rule from the Oval Office and has dared anyone to do anything about it. Obama’s audacity was revealed in July 2011 when at a White House meeting relative to raising the debt, Osama reportedly did most of the arguing for the Democrats and Eric Cantor for the Republicans. As the meeting was drawing to a close, Cantor and Obama repeated their arguments one final time – and then Obama erupted. “Eric, don’t call my bluff,” the president reportedly said. “I’m going to the American people with this.”
It has been since January 20, 2009 Obama’s habit to bully and dictate and he does not limit his methods to the Republicans. He has shown the same rude behavior to Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Obama shows the same boorish disregard for the status of anyone with whom he has dissent; a prime example is the discourteous behavior to Governor Brewer of Arizona simply because he took umbrage at some things she had written in a book.
Mr. Obama indicates by his actions and demeanor an apparent dislike for all who oppose his point of view. He is not at all diplomatic or courteous to those he apparently considers inferior. He, by his actions, indicates a total unwillingness to follow the law of the land or established protocol when dealing with our friends and allies.
Who is in the best position to remove this arrogant, overbearing, egotistical, lying, conspiratorial, and traitorous imposter? The United States House of Representatives led by Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Cantor. There are 242 Republicans in the House; a decided majority. That constitutes a sufficient number to guarantee Impeachment of the two major offenders in the Office of the President, Barack Hussein Obama and his Attorney General, Eric Holder. A failure to introduce Articles of Impeachment will be tantamount to Dereliction of Duty and a Breach of Contract with the American people.
Barack Obama has done his damnedest to destroy America. It is several months past time to destroy him. Sheriff Joe Arpaio cannot do your job for you, but he has plenty of ammunition.
