Cinco de Mayo: Illegal Is Legal
Cinco de Mayo, as outlined in Encyclopaedia Britannica, is Spanish for “Fifth of May.”
[It’s] know as the Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla, a national holiday in Mexico in honor of a military victory in 1862 over French forces of Napoleon III. When in 1861 Mexico declared a moratorium on repayment of foreign debts, English, Spanish and French troops invaded the country. By April 1862, the English and Spanish had withdrawn, but the French, with support of wealthy landowners remained, attempting to establish a monarchy under Maximilian of Austria and to curb U.S. power in North America. On May 5, 1862, a poorly equipped mestizo and Zapotec force under the command of General Ignacio Zaragoza defeated French troops at the Battle of Puebla, southeast of Mexico City; about 1,000 French troops were killed. Although the fighting continued and the French were not driven out for another five years, the victory at Puebla became a symbol of Mexican resistance to foreign domination.“
Puebla was later renamed Puebla de Zaragoza.
Cinco de Mayo has become a festive holiday across the U.S. but especially in Southwest Border States and in highly populated urban areas that serve as dispensers of government largesse at the expense of overburdened American taxpayers. The American Flag and Pledge of Allegiance have become virtually hateful objects of derision, and in some schools students have been expelled for wearing patriotic articles of clothing or memorabilia. The conundrum is that illegal immigrants take on the aura of legality while legal residents are suddenly illegal.
The American Flag has become an object of derision, scorn and controversy to the extreme that some teachers forced students to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic, while substituting "Under Allah” for “Under God.” No longer is it just an illegal Mexico immigrant problem, but now anything of truly American values, not as undefined by Obama, are vile hateful, crimes to be punished severely, while real criminals and sexual predators get a pass.
Anything “America” causes Liberal anger and racist hysteria that must be, but is not prosecuted by racist junkyard dog, A.G. Eric Holder who does not see fit to prosecute real crimes of his compatriot “Criminal-In-Chief.”
President Obama arbitrarily and unconstitutionally changes laws that only Congress is authorized to do. ObamaCare laws are illegally changed, added to and subtracted from, new laws created by fiat pen and phone mandate. Ignored are treason, comfort and aid to the enemy, unauthorized wars, inciting rebellion, drone-inspired killing of innocent women and children across independent sovereign borders, creating De Facto amnesty for illegal aliens, and other transgressions, infringements, and violations of laws perpetrated by top dog “Racist-In-Chief” who patriotically injects himself into the most trivial real or imagined racial slur or controversy.
Government squelches popular unrest and maintains individual relative calm and peace by overriding rights spelled out in the Constitution and Bill Of Rights. If Mexicans have such Cinco de Mayo pride in their country, why did they sneak into the U.S. without valid work, visitor, student, of other valid visa? Why is Mexico so great, their native country that treated its own citizens badly and intolerably, that caused illegals to voluntarily leave for America that they now want to change back to where they came from? Why, if Mexico were so bad and intolerable, would they come here to change America to be like Mexico?
It is all over but the shouting, so now might be a good time to kick back, have a taco at the nearest Taco Bell that one-ups McDonalds with a breakfast taco, as the taco becomes the latest 24/7/ fave. If legal, or not, wash them down with a Corona, Margarita, Budweiser Light Clamato with salt and lime, or any of dozens of exotic Mexican beverage creations.
It matters not whether legal or not, as the Obama-King-Of-Hooch in a Huffington Post interview, made claim that weed is no worse than alcohol, as a majority of Americans now favor marijuana legalization. Obama is quoted that weed is no more dangerous to individual health than alcohol.
In an interview with The New Yorker, Obama said while he believes marijuana is not very healthy, the drug isn’t as harmful as some insist. “As has been well documented, I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life. I don’t think it is more dangerous than alcohol.”
There it is, from the horses mouth to eager ears, and sung by Bobby McFerrin in 1988: “Forget all troubles. Don’t worry, be happy. Here’s a little song I wrote. You might want to sing it note for note. Don’t worry, be happy. In every life we have some trouble. When you worry you make it double. Don’t worry, be happy. Don’t worry, be happy now.”
This may be the best of both worlds in that there need be no worry about who cares about government excesses as long as the inmates are stoned. Enjoy! Where but in America can the financially jobless strapped be able to trade their free food-card benefits for Obama brand hootch and beer? Was this used to be a great country or what, or is it still? Hooch man says it is okay, and Obama will pay. Small wonder that Mexicans risk all to get to this utopia. Happy SINco de Mayo…And many more…Viva Zapata.
