Jack DeVine Bio

Jack DeVine is a retired nuclear energy executive. He is a 1965 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a nuclear submarine officer. He is a lifelong reader, an author, and a passionate observer of current events. He writes a weekly op-ed column for print and online distribution and is a regular contributor to The Patriot Post.


In his professional career, Jack led the planning and engineering for the safe multi-year recovery work at Three Mile Island following the nuclear accident there in 1979. He served in senior executive positions, including engineering Vice President at GPU Nuclear, Chief Closure Officer at the Savannah River Site, Senior Vice President and General Manager — US and Latin America Nuclear Operations with WorleyParsons, and Chief Decommissioning Officer at the Sellafield Nuclear site in the United Kingdom. He was cofounder and chairman of Polestar Applied Technology, a successful nuclear consulting firm serving U.S. and international clients.
