Ohr’s Testimony

House investigators were left with more questions than answers after Justice Department official Bruce Ohr’s eight hours of testimony.

House investigators were left with more questions than answers after Justice Department official Bruce Ohr’s eight hours of testimony. Here’s what we know:

  • Ohr admitted that the FBI had serious doubts about the infamous Steele dossier. Nevertheless, it was still used to get a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign.

  • Some of Ohr’s testimony conflicted with statements provided by Fusion GPS chief Glenn Simpson and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said, “It became very clear that there are a number of factual conflicts. Either Bruce Ohr’s lying or Glenn Simpson’s lying.” Keep in mind that Ohr’s wife, Nellie, worked with Glenn Simpson at Fusion GPS.

  • Ohr reportedly gave House investigators “a list of half a dozen” top Justice and FBI officials who he claims were aware of his connection to Steele and the dossier.

  • Yet according to a recent ABC News report, some Justice officials are trying to throw Ohr under the bus, claiming, “Nobody knew. He didn’t tell anybody… It was completely outside the scope of what he was asked to do. It wasn’t even close to his job.”

  • Ohr was also asked how many times Robert Mueller had interviewed him, and the answer was apparently none.

If Mueller’s mandate is to get to the bottom of Russian collusion in the election, rather than prosecuting old cases of tax evasion, i.e., Manafort and Cohen, he should be investigating the Clinton campaign, where there is plenty of evidence of Russian collusion.

But Mueller clearly does not care about the violations of law and ethical standards that Justice Department officials engaged in trying to smear Donald Trump.

And that is why it is even more disturbing that Ohr hasn’t reportedly talked to John Huber either.

As we know, Attorney General Sessions recused himself from the investigation into Russian collusion and the Trump campaign, much to the frustration of President Trump.

But Sessions should have full control over the Huber investigation. If these reports are true — that Huber has not talked to Ohr yet — Sessions needs to light a fire under Mr. Huber ASAP!

On Fox & Friends, Kellyanne Conway made this observation about the deep state’s efforts to take down Donald Trump:

“It’s amazing that he won under the circumstances of this rigged system. People at the highest echelons of the FBI and DOJ [were] trying to deny him the election. And once he won, during [the] transition, [they were] trying to deny him a smooth transition in our democratic process into his presidency…

"So much of this was going on during the transition … and yet they were still feverishly … trying to put the fix in after they failed to do it the first time.”

When unelected bureaucrats attempt to use their power to nullify the results of an election that is a coup.

Americans who care about free and fair elections, the rule of law, and the future of the Republic should be alarmed by the revelations of rogue bureaucrats spying on a presidential campaign. After all, that’s essentially what Watergate was all about!

Fake News

Here’s something to keep in mind the next time you hear a left-wing pundit spouting statistics about the “epidemic” of school shootings: The stats are likely wrong.

According to the Department of Education, there were 235 shootings at schools during the 2015-2016 school year. Except there weren’t.

National Public Radio — not the National Rifle Association — attempted to verify that figure by reaching out “to every one of those schools repeatedly over the course of three months.” NPR was only able to confirm “just 11 reported incidents.”

Primary Results

The last round of major primary elections was held in Arizona and Florida.  Both states will feature banner races this November that could decide control of the Senate and tell us a lot about the direction of the country.

In Arizona, Republicans nominated Rep. Martha McSally to be the party’s nominee for the Senate seat currently held by retiring Sen. Jeff Flake, a frequent critic of President Trump.

McSally, who comes from the GOP’s establishment wing, easily prevailed in a three-way race where the conservative vote was split between two candidates.

That said, she has an inspiring biography as the Air Force’s first female combat pilot, and President Trump has eagerly endorsed her. If we don’t retain this seat, it will be very hard for the GOP to hold the Senate.

For their part, Democrats also nominated a candidate of “firsts” in Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, and the state is set for a historic election guaranteeing that Arizona will elect its first female senator.

In Florida, Republicans bucked the trend this year by outperforming Democrats in the primary turnout. Hopefully, that bodes well for November.

It has often been said that there’s not much difference between the two parties. Well, there is a huge difference in the Sunshine State.

In the race for governor, the stage has been set for a knock-down, drag-out fight between a Bernie Sanders socialist (Andrew Gillum) and a Donald Trump populist (Ron DeSantis).

In addition, the Florida Senate race will be a huge contest between popular Governor Rick Scott (R) and liberal incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson. Right now, this race appears to be one of the GOP’s best pickup opportunities.

Trump Throws a Red Card

You’d never know it from the unhinged media, but President Trump has a good sense of humor.

He met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and U.S. Soccer President Carlos Cordeiro to celebrate our winning bid for the 2026 World Cup. They presented the president with a few gifts, but I think his favorite were the referee’s cards.

A yellow card is for warnings. But for really bad fouls, the referee issues a red card to expel a player from the game.

President Trump quickly grabbed the red card and threw it at the reporters in the Oval Office!
