Late Monday, there were breaking reports that classified documents from the Obama/Biden White House were discovered just before the November midterm elections.

The documents were found at Joe Biden’s old office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy in Washington, D.C. Attorney General Merrick Garland has ordered the U.S. Attorney for Chicago to investigate the matter, and the FBI is reportedly involved as well. (Sadly, that no longer reassures me.)

The Penn Biden Center is affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania, and Biden used the office as a place to park himself during the Trump years whenever he was in Washington.

This shouldn’t be surprising news. Washington overclassifies everything, and it is not unusual for former presidents and vice presidents to have classified material. Yet when it’s Donald Trump, the left and its liberal media allies never miss a chance to blow everything out of proportion.

As House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan put it, “It’s always one set of rules for President Trump. They literally raided his home 91 days before the midterm election, and [it’s] a different standard it seems with President Biden.”

Meanwhile, there are several points to consider.

First, Rep. Mike Turner, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has demanded a damage assessment noting that some of the recovered materials were “marked ‘sensitive compartmented information,’ indicating the highest classification and most sensitive intelligence information in our government.”

Second, these materials were discovered on November 2nd. The White House, the Justice Department and the National Archives were all informed. But somehow it was kept secret for two months.

Third, the documents were found in a closet in Biden’s old office, not 15 months after he left the White House, but five years after he left the White House! Is the National Archives really that negligent? Why didn’t the bureaucrats realize they were missing this classified material for five years?

Fourth, why was the classified material at the Penn Biden Center in the first place? Joe Biden has claimed that he was a “college professor,” but there’s no evidence that he ever taught students anything useful. He was paid over $1 million to make a few speeches for the university.

Then I remembered something else about the University of Pennsylvania. Over a five-year period from 2014 to 2019, it accepted more than $50 million dollars from Communist China — with most of that Chinese money coming after the university announced the formation of the Penn Biden Center. What a remarkable coincidence!

Were any Chinese communist agents working at the university? Were Chinese communist agents working at the Penn Biden Center? Has the FBI even bothered to look?

Academic Reparations

Last week, we reported that Virginia Governor Glen Youngkin had ordered a civil rights investigation into an elite high school in Fairfax County. It turns out that school administrators hid the results of National Merit Scholarship awards from their students.

Now we’re learning that the state’s investigation is expanding to include all Fairfax County public high schools after several principals admitted that they also failed to inform students who won these prestigious awards, which potentially involve tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships.

Why is this such an important issue?

Well, Fairfax County, a suburb of Washington, D.C., has become a solidly Blue county. As a result, leftist insanity has taken root. Rather than promoting excellence in academics, leftist bureaucrats are now promoting “equity.”

Two years ago, during the height of the pandemic, the Fairfax County public school system spent $20,000 for a one-hour Zoom lecture on equity and critical race theory and by radical professor, Ibram X. Kendi. Kendi is infamous for suggesting that the only solution to past discrimination is more discrimination.

In addition to paying Kendi $20,000 for one hour of his time, the school district also spent another $24,000 to buy his books. It was part of his contract for the Zoom lecture. (Keep in mind, the schools were closed at the time.)

But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Fairfax County’s left-wing teachers are all in on critical race theory and equity. The school board recently signed a “no-bid” contract paying $455,000 for a far-left group in Oakland, California, to develop “equity-centered strategic planning” for the school system.

The organization’s CEO explains his work this way, “To have true equity, you have to be purposefully unequal when it comes to resources. I want to say that again … we have to have the courage and the willingness to be purposefully unequal when it comes to opportunities and access.” [Emphasis added.]

This is a perversion of the law and it leads to the corruption of academics.

Excellence in academics is the whole point of school. Not equity. Excellence will not be equity. Excellence is based on merit. Equity is based on race and left-wing ideological nonsense.

But in the pursuit of equity, Fairfax County schools are doing away with excellence. Thus, high-achieving students had to be punished.

And here’s the dirty little secret: This is also an attack on Asian students, whom many leftists see as “white adjacent.” The leftist mind is exploding because Asian students do better in math and science than students of other races.

Once again, we’re seeing how the educational bureaucracy operates. It’s not about the kids. It never has been. It’s about the left’s radical agenda, and Fairfax County “educrats” lied about the National Merit Scholars awards in order to advance their radical agenda.

Knowing how much this rot has infected our public schools, I suspect this scandal is much bigger than one county in northern Virginia. If this is happening in Fairfax County, it is probably happening in other school districts all over the country, especially in liberal areas.

It goes hand-in-hand with the dumbing down of education. It is academic reparations. The left is willing to destroy your child’s future if he or she does not fit into some “preferred” category.

Chicago’s Children At Risk

While we’re on the subject of corruption in public education, the Chicago Public Schools’ inspector general’s office just released a stomach-churning report. It has investigated more than 600 complaints of “adult-on-student” misconduct in the past year alone.

The inspector general’s office “reported that between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022, it opened investigations into 81 sexual touching cases, 35 cases of grooming, 33 cases of sexual abuse, 26 cases of sexual acts, 25 cases of in-person sexual comments, 14 sexual electronic communications, eight cases of ‘past (sexual) conduct’ and 243 cases deemed ‘concerning.’”

There is no way we’re going to save the American Republic unless we can save our children from the corrupt educational bureaucracy.

More Collusion

Many of you may recall seeing Dr. Scott Gottlieb on TV. The former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration was a frequent commentator on network news shows throughout the pandemic.

Gottlieb was the epitome of a smooth-talking bureaucrat, and compared to ideologues like Anthony Fauci, he seemed like a fount of wisdom.

But we’ve now learned that he was also involved in censoring voices who were critical of the vaccine’s efficacy. Gottlieb, by the way, just happens to serve on the board of Pfizer, one of the major COVID vaccine manufacturers.

In addition, a lawsuit by Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry has uncovered proof that the Biden White House tried to censor Tucker Carlson’s social media posts.

So, once again, we see Big Government, Big Tech and Big Pharma working together to suppress the rights of the American people. That should make every American furious!
