Hamas (Read: Iran) Attacks Israel

“What we will do to our enemy in the next few days will echo for generations.”

The Sunni-Islamic terrorist organization Hamas (an acronym for “Islamic Resistance Movement”) is a state-sponsored terrorist surrogate of Iran, from whom it receives more than 93% of its funding. Not only did Iran attack Israel by proxy, but America paid for it.

Hamas has held de facto political control of the governing “Palestinian” National Authority since 2006, now with a majority of seats in the PNA “parliament.” The West Bank, a large swath of land along the western bank of the Jordan River and Dead Sea bordering Jordan, and surrounding much of Jerusalem, combined with a much smaller area, the Gaza Strip along the southwest of Israel’s Mediterranean Sea coast bordering Egypt, has been under Israeli control since the Six Day War in 1967. Sections of these areas were designated as under PNA control by the 1993 Oslo Accords, brokered by Demo President Bill Clinton between Yitzhak Rabin and the Palestine Liberation Organization’s terrorist leader Yasser Arafat.

For the record, “Palestinians” is a fabricated name for a lowly sect of Egyptian outcasts that nobody in the Arab world, including Egypt, wants on their soil. (But maybe Iran can invite them in!)

In 1988, the terrorist PNA declared its intent to designate a “Palestinian State,” and since 2012, with the support of then-Democrat President Barack Obama, the corrupt United Nations has recognized the “State of Palestine.” In 2014, Obama, Biden and Hillary Clinton empowered the resurrection of the Islamist State and the proliferation of Islamist terrorists.

Despite a plethora of “peace agreements” over recent decades, it has always been clear to long-war observers that the likelihood of actual peace between Israel and the terrorist PNA was a bridge too far.

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Yom Kippur War in which primarily Egypt and Syria attacked Israel before being quickly defeated, Hamas launched a bloody strike from Gaza into Israel. Iran helped plan and arm this attack with support from both Afghanistan and Syria.

Initially, Hamas attacked with an estimated 2,500-3,000 Iranian-made Fateh-110 surface-to-surface ballistic missiles, an action similar to the rocket attacks during the 2014 Gaza War. This time, the rockets were followed by terrorist incursions into Israeli communities 10-15 miles east of the Gaza “border,” some of whom were armed with weapons Joe Biden left behind in Afghanistan. The invaders slaughtered civilian men, women, and children, and the current count of Israeli dead exceeds 900. Among those murdered were at least 14 Americans.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) declared: “Hamas has killed Americans, Italians, Israelis, and more. They are raping women, kidnapping grandparents, and beheading babies. Do not look away. The world must know the truth of what is happening.” Hamas also took a significant number of Israelis, and also Americans, hostage. They intend to use as human shields and to force Israel to release Palestinian terrorists.

There are questions about how Israel’s Defense Forces and their intelligence arm, HaMossad, failed to detect the attacks, particularly the importation, assembly, and preparation of the rockets. But most of those rocket components are smuggled in by sea and then assembled in disparate locations.

But, there is no question that Biden’s betrayal of Israel and his failed policies in the region, provided Hamas an element of surprise.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded swiftly with a declaration of war: “Though Israel didn’t start this war, Israel will finish it. This war was forced upon us by a dreaded enemy, animals that kill men, women, children, and the elderly. Children handcuffed that were executed with the rest of their families. Young people were shot in the back, executed, and other horrors that I will not describe here. We have always known what Hamas was all about. Now the entire world knows. Hamas is ISIS, and we will beat them just like the western world has beaten ISIS. This terrible enemy wanted a war, and it will receive a war. I promise you, dear citizens, at the end of the war all of our enemies will know it was a terrible mistake to attack Israel. What we will do to our enemy in the next few days will echo for generations.”

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant instructed the Southern Command to enact a “full siege” of the densely populated Gaza Strip and it’s 2 million residents. Gallant specified: “No electricity, no food, no fuel. We are fighting animals, and we will act accordingly.”

Notably, Netanyahu and Gallant also face the strategic challenge posed by Iran’s other terror surrogate, its Lebanese Hezbollah cells, attacking from the north.

Israel must decimate Hamas terror network as they did the Arab invaders during Yom Kippur. This campaign will attract a lot of criticism from lazy leftist who claim Israel is a “colonizer” and Hamas its “victims.”

To be clear, the Hamas attack was seeded by the Obama/Biden administration’s malfeasance, particularly its 2015 “nuke deal” with Iran and supplemented by Obama’s 2016 $400 million cash payment to Iran for release of hostages despite his claim: “We do not pay ransom for hostages. We didn’t here, and we won’t in the future, precisely because if we did we’d start encouraging Americans to be targeted.”

Iran’s terrorist objectives were substantially curtailed by Donald Trump, including his final demonstration of U.S. might and resolve, the message he sent Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei by targeting and taking out Gen. Qasem Soleimani in January 2020. Notably, Trump then brokered the secret agreement between Israel and the Saudis.

That was followed by Israel’s masterful operation, just before Trump left office, to kill Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, whom Khamenei described as “the country’s prominent and distinguished nuclear and defensive scientist.”

Enter the inept Joe Biden.

Remember when candidate Biden was promoting himself as the foreign policy expert with “the experience to lead.” According to the Biden campaign: “We live in the most dangerous moment in a generation. Our world, set on edge by an erratic, unstable president. This is a moment that requires strong, steady, stable leadership. We need someone tested, and trusted around the world. This is a moment for Joe Biden – a president with the experience to lead.”

Biden declared that Obama chose him as a running mate because of his foreign policy expertise.

On the campaign trail he insisted: “Right now, we don’t really have a foreign policy. I’m not being facetious – we don’t have a foreign policy,” and as a consummate liar, he said, “We are embracing thugs like Putin and Kim Jong-un. This president’s talking about love letters with a butcher.” Biden insisted that we need a president “who can truly unite this nation at home and someone who can command the respect of world leaders on day one.” He concluded: “Day One you gotta be able to stand up and the world know you know what you’re talking about. Know you know what you’re saying. And know you mean what you say. We have to set aside our divisions and come together as Americans.”

And how did that turn out?

First, our global adversaries witnessed his disastrous surrender and retreat from Afghanistan, and as a consequence, the resurrection of the Taliban and their Islamic State and al-Qa'ida allies.

Then, empowered by Biden’s ineptitude, came the bloody and totally predictable invasion of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin, posing a much greater threat to the U.S. and NATO.

And Hamas rises again, because power does not tolerate a vacuum or a vacuous appeaser like Biden, who empowered Iran by releasing billions of dollars to this rogue regime in exchange for six hostages, and ignored Iran’s sale of 1.5 million barrels of oil daily to its ally, the Red Chinese, despite sanctions.

As Heritage Foundation analyst Victoria Coates concludes, “You can draw a direct line between [Biden’s] permissive attitude and policy toward the Islamic Republic of Iran and these terrorist attacks on Israel.”

What was Biden’s initial response to the Hamas attack, and American casualties and hostages? He held a White House staff barbecue party. Meanwhile, SecDef Lloyd Austin announced the deployment of the CVN-78 carrier strike group to the Eastern Mediterranean, where they can first launch SpecOps missions to rescue Americans, and second, be in position to strike Hezbollah in the north. However, I can assure you that Iran and its Russian and Chinese allies have anticipated every defensive posture Biden will take months ago, and their surrogates will respond accordingly.

Of course, congressional leftists, including Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and their Demo squad of Jew haters, are promoting their “moral equivalence” arguments, supplemented by Biden’s Leftmedia talkingheads and scribes who are demonstrating their considerable contortionists abilities providing “context” justifying the Hamas attacks.

Democrats have a growing “Jew hater” problem, and it is emerging on college and university campuses.

Next up, after or maybe while containing the Hamas threat, I expect that Israel will take the battle to Tehran…

We can all agree that the conflict between Jews and Arabs is “complicated,” and has been for thousands of years. It has been more evident in modern history since 1960. We can all agree that human suffering and indignity is not the objective of any civil government.

But again, there is no moral equivalence here.

It is difficult to negotiate with those whose only generational objective is to kill you, and who, when not acting out on that objective, use women and children as human shields.

Make no mistake, the defense of Israel is one of our nation’s most critical national interests. And the leftist chant, “from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea, Palestine must be free,” is a call by the Hamas Islamo-fascists for the inhalation of Israel.

Let me make this clear: The most dangerous threat to U.S. national security has been and remains Joe Biden. Anyone who believes that, if Trump was still president, the Taliban would have risen again, or Putin would have dared invade Ukraine, or Hamas would rise again is pathologically delusional. Everyone who voted for Biden voted for all the bloodshed that has followed. And that bloodshed could get much worse — China, knowing Biden is toothless, has opportunistically escalated its belligerence dramatically as it prepares seize Taiwan.

Finally, for context, I have seen comparisons between the attack on Israel with the 9/11 Islamist attack on our nation. However, 900 Israelis dead in a nation of 9.4 million people would equate to almost 27,000 dead in America.

Footnote: Flags are at half mast this week, because state governors across the country have issued those orders. Biden, who has a history of issuing such orders using flags as political agenda rags to promote his gun control agenda agenda, has not ordered flags down to honor all the Americans killed and taken hostage, I suppose because he does not want to offend his Jew-hating constituents.
