Biden Is the ‘Lying Dog-Faced Pony Soldier’!

I’m sure you’re shocked to learn there’s a BIG Liar in Washington.

“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” —Article II, Section 1, Constitution of the United States (1787)

Yeah, I know, you might be thinking this column is only about that gender-confused Republican congressman, George Santos. Apparently, he’s also confused about fact versus fiction on his résumé.

Santos, one of those celebrated Republicans who just flipped a New York seat in deep Demo territory, apparently fabricated a whole lot of his biographical personal and professional claims, which, astoundingly, were not discovered when vetting this candidate. It may be that nobody wanted to be accused of homophobia for questioning the authenticity of a “gay” candidate.

Indeed, no sooner had allegations about Santos’s lies surfaced than his attorney claimed he “represents the kind of progress that the Left is so threatened by — a gay, Latino, immigrant and Republican who won a Biden district,” adding, “showing everyday voters that there is a better option than the broken promises and failed policies of the Democratic Party.” He then accused the accusers of “attempting to smear his good name with these defamatory allegations,” even deploying a fake Winston Churchill quote in Santos’s defense: “You have enemies? Good. It means that you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.”

Oops.

Let’s see: His client claimed he graduated from Baruch College with “a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance,” claimed he was a “seasoned Wall Street financier and investor” for Citigroup and Goldman Sachs, claimed he “lost four employees that were at Pulse” (the 2016 homosexual nightclub massacre in Orlando), claimed his mother’s parents were Ukrainian Jews who fled from the Holocaust but none of her ancestors were Ukrainian or Jewish — all unsubstantiated. When challenged about his Holocaust claims and his assertion that he was a “a proud American Jew,” Santos later insisted, “I never claimed to be Jewish … I said I was ‘Jew-ish.’”

Among his resume claims that were true, Santos said he previously worked for and raised funding for Harbor City Capital, a Florida firm that the Securities and Exchange Commission concluded was a Ponzi scheme.

Notably, while House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was trying to rally the remaining votes necessary to become House speaker, the New York Post is reporting that House Republican leaders were joking about the holes in Santos’s résumé.

For his part, Santos insists: “This [controversy] will not deter me from having good legislative success. I will be effective. I will be good.”

Why should it deter him? Lies haven’t deterred politicians for generations! What’s the big deal?

Santos is typical of perpetrators of the “BIG Lie,” and the Beltway is a-bustin’ with such liars, especially when it comes to abiding by their oaths “to support and defend” our Constitution.

As for what may become of Santos, constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley notes: “The problem is that, for the most part, he is accused of something that is no crime in Congress: lying. Indeed, if lying were criminal, the House would be hard pressed to assemble a quorum outside of a federal penitentiary.”

Indeed, the list of liars currently in Congress is long, including well-documented prevaricators such as the just-reelected Sen. Richard “Stolen Valor” Blumenthal (D-CT), who repeatedly lied about having served in Vietnam, and Sen. Elizabeth “Honest Injun” Warren (D-MA), who has repeatedly lied about her Native American ancestry in order to receive special status for job considerations.

Most Democrats are prolific liars, and as journalist Daniel Greenfield notes: “Democrats suddenly claim to care about truth. The truth is they’re all liars. Lying, like socialism, is a basic qualifier for the Democrat nomination.”

Fact is, the list of Donald Trump’s “false or misleading claims” maintained by The Washington Post during his years in office is staggering — but then everyone but WaPo’s “fact-checkers” knew that Trump’s embellishments were part of his theatrics, his braggadocios bravado, and discounted them accordingly. But compared to the “false or misleading claims” of Joe Biden, the biggest liar in DC now — oh, wait, WaPo isn’t keeping a data base on Biden’s lies for comparison. Maybe the paper’s fact-checkers think keeping a list of Biden’s fabrications and obfuscations would constitute “elder abuse.”

More ink has been spilled and more bandwidth spent on the Santos lies during the past week than has been dedicated to Biden’s prolific record of lies over the last 50 years. The bulk of those lies were a matter of record long before Biden’s dementia emerged.

For example, Biden has falsely and repeatedly claimed he graduated “top of his class” from law school, when he was actually near the bottom and cheated to get that ranking; claimed he had a Naval Academy appointment; claimed he has three undergraduate degrees from the University of Delaware; claimed between college and law school he was a truck driver; claimed he was arrested at a civil rights march, and arrested again when trying to meet Nelson Mandela; claimed his oldest son Beau was killed in Iraq; claimed his first wife and daughter were killed by a drunk driver; claimed to have visited the Tree of Life synagogue after a shooting there but has never been there; claimed to have been raised by Puerto Ricans; claimed to have hit a 368-foot home run in a congressional baseball game; claimed gas prices were “down from over $5 when I took office,” but gas was $2.38 then. In fact, Biden has authorized fewer acres of federal land for oil and gas drilling than any president since World War II.

What about Biden’s claim that he never spoke to Hunter Biden about his business dealings, instead diverting, “Here’s what I know: Trump should be investigated”? And his claim that he’s not “the big guy”? More lies.

In the last year, Biden has boldly lied about the disastrous Demo record. His 2022 State of the Union was full of lies. He has repeatedly labeled voter integrity “voter intimidation and suppression” and called Georgia’s election integrity laws “Jim Crow 2.0”; lied about his open border immigration policy; lied about being the “unity” president; lied about the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” resulting in surging inflation, the largest decline in real wages in four decades and the biggest rise in food prices since 1979; claimed unemployment was the lowest in 50 years — down from 6.5 percent to 3.5 percent, but it was 3.5 percent under Trump; promoted the J6 committee lie that the Capitol protest was an “insurrection”; continues to propagate his patently false claim that police were killed by protestors, when in fact the only person killed that day was an unarmed protestor shot dead by an incompetent Capitol Police officer; spewed a litany of BIG COVID Lies about the ChiCom Virus pandemic; lied about the so-called “Respect for Marriage Act”; claimed he visited Afghanistan and Iraq twice as president, but has not been to either country as president, and certainly not after his catastrophic surrender and retreat from the former in 2021.

On the subject of national security, Biden has promoted himself as a great world leader, and declared “We’ve never seen a major invasion of a European country since World War II.” (Except that Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 while Biden was vice president.) He virtually invited the invasion of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin, and is tempting Red China to invade Taiwan. At the same time, our military faces the biggest recruiting shortfall in 50 years, while Biden is forcing thousands of our best warfighters out because they have not been vaccinated.

Biden has repeated the “systemic racism” lie, lied about his Marxist so-called “Black Lives Matter” radical supporters, lied about the Demos’ record surge in violence, lies about who is committing that violence — and also lies about the resulting surge in attacks on cops.

Our news editor, Jordan Candler, who also compiles our daily “Short Cuts” quotes, could fill volumes with Demo lies. Here are a few from Biden from the closing weeks of the year: “For the last several months, wages have gone up more than prices have gone up.” … “Now, 21 months later, we can see how our economic plan is working.” … “We’re building an economy from the bottom up and the middle out by creating more jobs than any Administration in history at this point in a presidency.” … “Because of our policies, folks are starting to feel the impact of our legislative achievements in their own lives. It will only accelerate in the months ahead as we implement our investments in American families.” … “We need to challenge the hundreds of callous and cynical laws introduced in the states targeting transgender children, terrifying families, and criminalizing doctors who give children the care they need. We have to protect these children.” Ad infinitum…

And there are all those folksy personal anecdotes that never happened: “When I got elected vice president, [my dad] said, ‘Joey, Uncle Frank fought in the Battle of the Bulge … and he won the Purple Heart. And he never received it. Do you think you could help him get it? … I remember he came over to the house, and I came out, and … I said, 'Uncle Frank, you won this.’” (Except his uncle died a decade before Biden was vice president.)

Of course, there are also Biden’s specious claims that he survived a house fire, was a star football player, comes from a family of coal miners and was a coal miner, worked as a college professor, was shot at in Iraq, was “forced down” in a helicopter in Afghanistan, and won a fight against a drug dealer named Cornpop.

Clearly, Joe Biden has never had even a passing relationship with the truth in his political career, even when he attempts to shake hands with it.

Biden is fond of calling his detractors a “lying dog-faced pony soldier.” He leads the cavalry!

George Santos should resign from Congress the day he takes office, but Joe Biden should never have been elected to any office.
