Last week, amid the self-inflicted distraction over Attorney General Pam Bondi’s unfortunate “Epstein Files Fail,” President Donald Trump dropped this teaser: “The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 — That’s what [Bondi] is looking into as AG, and much more.”

That was a reference to the latest evidence regarding the “Russian-Collusion ‘Grand Conspiracy’ Cabal,” as I outlined two weeks ago.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe ordered a comprehensive review of the CIA’s role in the “Russia collusion” investigation ahead of the 2016 election, and the political weaponization of both the CIA and FBI to fabricate a premise on which to investigate Trump. He declassified the 2020 House Intelligence Committee report, including the Appendix timeline which notes, “Acting on President Obama’s orders, [then CIA Director John] Brennan directed a ‘full review’ and publication of raw HUMINT (Human Intelligence) information that had been collected before the election.” That is the direct link to Obama.

According to Ratcliffet: “[This] report underscores that the 2016 IC Assessment was conducted through an atypical and corrupt process under the politically charged environments of former Dir. Brennan and former FBI Dir. Comey. All the world can now see the truth: Brennan, Clapper and Comey manipulated intelligence and silenced career professionals — all to get Trump. Thank you to the career CIA officers who conducted this review and exposed the facts.”

To be clear, the investigation into corrupt former CIA Director John Brennan and his co-conspirator, former FBI Director James Comey, is a prosecutorial pathway to, as we noted in 2020, “Indict Clinton’s FISA Collusion Conspiracy Collaborators,” the deep state coup d'état to take down Trump.

As Hillary Clinton’s house of cards was collapsing in 2020 after the conclusion of Robert Mueller’s investigation detailing corruption at the highest levels within the FBI and CIA, and that collapse potentially falling on Barack Obama head, I wrote in a column, “Indict Clinton’s FISA Collusion Conspiracy Collaborators,” this was, in effect, a deep-state coup d'état to take Trump down.

But there was resistance to criminal referrals and nobody was going to jail under the inept DoJ leadership.

Then in 2022, Special Counsel John Durham dropped his 306-page bombshell report in the lap of Biden’s hyper-partisan attorney general, Merrick Garland – a scathing indictment detailing how the Clinton campaign fabricated the setup, and how a lawless cadre of high-level deep state partisans within the FBI conspired against Trump.

But nobody was going to jail under Biden’s corrupt DoJ leadership.

Despite four long years of Joe Biden’s efforts to erase the fingerprints of Clinton and Obama from that coup, they were clearly involved.

On Friday, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard added to the growing evidence file regarding that deep state coup d'état, declassifying CIA records showing “overwhelming evidence” that Obama’s administration “manufactured and politicized intelligence” in “a treasonous conspiracy” to prevent Trump from “fulfilling his mandate.” She is turning those files over to the Department of Justice for criminal review.

According to the DNI press release:

For months preceding the 2016 election, the Intelligence Community shared a consensus view: Russia lacked the intent and capability to hack U.S. elections. But weeks after President Trump’s historic 2016 victory defeating Hillary Clinton, everything changed.

On Dec 8, 2016, IC officials prepared an assessment for the President’s Daily Brief, finding that Russia “did not impact recent U.S. election results” by conducting cyber attacks on infrastructure. Before it could reach the President, it was abruptly pulled “based on new guidance.” This key intelligence assessment was never published. The next day, top national security officials including FBI Dir James Comey, CIA Dir John Brennan and DNI James Clapper gathered at the Obama White House to discuss Russia. Obama directed the IC to create a new intelligence assessment that detailed Russian election meddling, even though it would contradict multiple intelligence assessments released over the previous several months. Obama officials immediately leaned on their allies in the media to advance their falsehoods. Anonymous IC sources leaked classified information to the Washington Post and others that Russia had intervened to hack the election in Trump’s favor.

On January 6, 2017, just days before President Trump took office, DNI Clapper unveiled the Obama-directed politicized assessment, a gross weaponization of intelligence that laid the groundwork for a years-long coup intended to subvert President Trump’s entire presidency. According to whistleblower emails shared with us today, we know Clapper and Brennan used the baseless discredited Steele Dossier as a source to push this false narrative in the intelligence assessment. These documents detail a treasonous conspiracy by officials at the highest levels of the Obama White House to subvert the will of the American people and try to usurp the President from fulfilling his mandate. This betrayal concerns every American. The integrity of our democratic republic demands that every person involved be investigated and brought to justice to prevent this from ever happening again.

Gabbard is “providing all documents to the Department of Justice to deliver the accountability that President Trump, his family, and the American people deserve.”

Fact is, there is not much new in the Ratcliffe and Gabbard declassified documents except — and it is a BIG EXCEPT — the information has now officially been referred to the DoJ for criminal review, and this is not the DoJ under Biden’s corrupt leadership.

Confirming the referral to DoJ Gabbard said: “We have referred and will continue to refer all of these documents to the Department of Justice and the FBI, to investigate the criminal implications of this. The evidence that we have found and that we have released directly point to President Obama leading the manufacturing of this intelligence assessment. There is irrefutable evidence that detail how President Barack Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false.” She added: “I’m leaving the criminal charges to the Department of Justice. I am not an attorney, but as I have said previously, when you look at the intent behind creating a fake manufactured intelligence document that directly contradicts multiple assessments that were created by the intelligence community, the expressed intent and what followed afterward can only be described as a years long coup and the treasonous conspiracy against the American people our Republic, and an attempt to undermine President Trump’s administration.”

Of the evidence released to the DoJ, Gabbard says: “The implications of this are frankly nothing short of historic. Over 100 documents that we released on Friday really detail and provide evidence of how this treasonous conspiracy was directed by President Obama just weeks before he was due to leave office after President Trump had already gotten elected. This is not a Democrat or Republican issue. This is an issue that is so serious it should concern every single American because it has to do with the integrity of our democratic republic.”

She concluded the latest release, along with the other aforementioned declassified documents, “confirm what many Americans have known…The Russia Hoax was a lie that was knowingly created by the Obama Administration to undermine the legitimacy and power of the duly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump.”

Notably, in the documents released by Gabbard, a high-level whistleblower, who was then-deputy national intelligence officer for the National Intelligence Council, said intelligence officials pressed her to support Trump-Russia hoax: “I was pressured to alter my views. … I was aware that I was defying the [National Intelligence Office’s] direction to me (to misrepresent my views) based on a conscious decision to adhere to [Intelligence Community] standards, tradecraft, and ethics.”

Gabbard also indicated that she will provide more information: “Next week, we will be releasing more detailed information about how exactly this took place and the extent to which this information was sought to be hidden from the American people, hidden from officials who would be in a position to do something about it. Accountability is essential for the future of our country. For the American people to have any sense of trust in the integrity of our democratic republic, accountability, action, prosecution, [and] indictments for those who are responsible for trying to steal our democracy is essential for us to make sure that this never happens to our country again.”

Notably, as an alternative to appointing a Special Prosecutor for the DoJ criminal referral, AG Bondi is going to start with a “Strike Force” unit, which is often used to investigate complicated organized crime conspiracies. DoJ describes the unit as: “The Strike Force Model consists of interagency teams made up of investigators and prosecutors that focus on the worst offenders engaged in fraudulent activities…false statement offenses, Title 42 offenses, Title 26 offenses, and Title 21 offenses…”

(UPDATE: Gabbard’s criminal referral to Bondi has now prompted the DoJ to task a federal prosecutor with presenting evidence to a federal grand jury.)

For his part, Trump said, “If you look at that, those papers, they have him stone cold. And it was President Obama. Look, he’s guilty. It’s not a question. I like to say, let’s give it time, but it’s there; he’s guilty. They … this was treason, this was every word you can think of.”

After reviewing the report, two House Oversight members — Reps. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and Byron Donalds (R-FL) — have called for arrests, and that may be the outcome after the DoJ review. Luna noted, “This is not a Democrat or Republican thing, this is about the health and the sanctity of our constitutional republic, and so there needs to be arrests. This is not partisan, this is simply illegal what they did, and we’re simply upholding the law.”

Donald was critical of the “big media organizations” that did not do any fact-checking and instead “followed and toed the company line.” He added, “This is not about one president, it is about the presidency and the continuation of our country.”

Of course, the Demos and their Leftmedia publicists will insist the DNI’s assessment is just a smokescreen diversion from the Trump/Bondi Epstein files fail. They will then accuse Trump of doing precisely what he is claiming Obama and Clinton did — weaponizing the CIA and FBI. However, there is a big difference: Obama, Biden and Clinton went after a sitting president, while Trump is pursuing those who attempted to take down a sitting president.

I regret to state the obvious, but this body of evidence against Brennan and Comey, and by extension Obama, Biden and Clinton, may end up in the same trash bin containing Epstein’s purported client list, though, unlike that client list, there was, indisputably, a deep state coup d'état to take down Trump.

Moreover, the 2024 SCOTUS decision in Trump v. United States, affirmed presidential immunity from prosecution for official acts, and that would likely preclude any successful prosecution of Obama or Biden. The criminal referral question as it pertains to Obama and Biden is, does orchestrating this “grand conspiracy” fall under “official acts”?

That being said, seasoned political analyst Armstrong Williams advises: “Let us not pretend this charge is light. A ‘treasonous conspiracy’ suggests not merely malfeasance but a betrayal of the public trust at the highest levels of government. … With Trump back in the White House, the fear among Democrats is palpable. Not because of what Trump might do in the future but because of what he might uncover from the past. This is the nightmare scenario for the Left.”

And regardless of the outcome, Thomas Baker, an FBI Special Agent for 33 years, concludes, “Whatever the outcome of the current criminal investigations of Comey and Brennan, they will stand convicted by history as reckless partisans.”

Notably, while the Biden “department of justice” most assuredly did not consider indicting Comey for obstruction and perjury, this 30 September 2020 exchange between Comey and the Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Comey testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee, may come back and bite him if the statute if limitations does not run out.

In that hearing, Cruz stated to Comey: “On May 3rd, 2017, in this committee, Chairman [Chuck] Grassley asked you point blank, ‘Have you ever been an anonymous source in news reports about matters relating to the Trump investigation or the Clinton investigation?’ You responded under oath, ‘Never.’ He then asked you, ‘Have you ever authorized someone else at the FBI to be an anonymous source in news reports about the Trump investigation or the Clinton administration?’ You responded again under oath, ‘No.’” Cruz then reminded Comey that his former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, has “publicly and repeatedly stated that he leaked information to the Wall Street Journal and that you were directly aware of it and that you directly authorized it.”

Cruz asked: “Who’s telling the truth?” Comey replied: “I can only speak to my testimony. I stand by the testimony you summarized that I gave in May of 2017. … I’m not going to characterize Andy’s testimony, but mine is the same today.”

(UPDATE: On 25 September 2025, five days before the statute of limitation ran out, James Comey was indicted for lying and obstruction, and if convicted, that may open the door for a broader investigation.)

Finally, keep an eye on this: AG Pam Bondi has released details Department of Justice details regarding Comey’s fixed investigative conclusions regarding Hillary Clinton’s deleted emails, a case study in DoJ double standards. The documents expose how Comey manipulated information to end the investigation. The duplicity and double standards were affirmed in a 2018 DoJ IG report, and while the media is suggesting Comey “botched the investigation” by not reviewing key evidence, that suggests the omissions were unintentional…
