The Democrats’ ‘Hate Trump’ Platform: Foment Fear, Anger and Division

The Democrats are systematically disuniting America and giving rise to leftist mob rule.

“The influence of your personal character moderates the divisions of political parties…” —George Washington (1789)

In his extraordinarily forward-looking 1796 “Farewell Address,” President George Washington recommended for our “solemn contemplation” and “frequent review, some sentiments which are the result of much reflection” and “which appears to me all important to the permanency of your felicity as a people.”

Among the most notable advice he offered was a warning about the danger of those who would seek to divide the nation in order to empower their own partisan interests. He noted that the “love of power and proneness to abuse it” would result in “cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled” political leaders who would “organize faction; to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put in the place of the delegated will of the nation, the will of a party.”

He warned that their “foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation” would “usurp the applause and confidence of the people to surrender their interests,” and that we should “distrust the patriotism of those who, in any quarter, may endeavor to weaken” our nation’s bonds.

Here, Washington’s advice is as enduring as his legacy. The current partisan political tensions are more troubling than in any period since the 1960s, and his words are applicable.

The unanticipated election of Donald Trump in 2016 resulted in the rapid disintegration of the tenor and tone of discourse between Republicans and Democrats. Given the latter’s rapid transformation from a once-proud political party into an unhinged socialist camp, the systemic assault on Liberty has never been as organized, well-funded, and targeted as it is today. Nor did it ever have the tacit approval of a major political party.

The level of incivility and confrontation has entered very dangerous territory, but the fomenting of fear, anger, hatred, and division is the Left’s only political play to consolidate its identity-politics constituency.

The most recent manifestation of the Democrats’ politics of disunity was the emergence of toxic feminist mobs incited by their Demo-gogue leaders to protest the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. These protests are an indication of how very adept Democrats, in collusion with their Leftmedia machine, have become at fostering deep discontent among many Americans.

To date, the Democrat’s most successful model for achieving disunity in the last decade, has been to utilize race-bait hustlers who promote “black privilege” but who actually don’t think black lives matter beyond their usefulness as voter constituency pawns. The same can be said about their more recent concern for illegal immigrants.

Beltway Democrat strategists are now effectively using immigration, as they have race, to foment discontent among their largest voter constituency, female voters, whom they consider to be emotionally incontinent dupes. Recent research bears out the Left’s angry-female-voter strategy, with 43% of women reporting they are interested in taking to the streets in protest.

“This is what Democrats do,” said Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. “They try and divide our country. They try and incite anger.” She also referenced Democrat intent with their target constituents: “Let’s make women so angry,” they say.

Even Democrat Party Chairman Tom Perez thinks most of his constituents are idiots.

Beyond the heated rhetoric of feminist protests, there are increasingly violent confrontations by leftists.

The latest manifestation of the Left’s new benchmark for hatred emerged with the so-called “antifa movement” of masked and violent “anti-fascist” fascists. This mob is a malignant new strain from the ranks of Barack Obama’s repugnant 2011 Red October uprising by the “useful idiots” of Occupy Wall Street.

By contrast, it’s notable that the only mass political movement to emerge on the Right in the last two decades was the Tea Party movement, a confederation of grassroots American Patriots who gathered in peace — and always cleaned up after themselves.

Consider the calm and civilized behavior of the Tea Party versus the Trump Derangement Syndrome mobs we’re now witnessing on the Left. This growing epidemic of cognitive dissonance is likely to grow even worse in the coming years.

The Trump administration has already built a considerable record of economic achievements benefiting Americans across the board, and Trump has promised to build on that record if Republicans maintain the House and Senate in the upcoming midterm elections.

Democrats, on the other hand, have come up empty-handed in terms of thoughtful policy proposals. All House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) offer is hate and disunity to hold their constituency together.

The most violent leftist assault to date was in June 2017, when one of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’s socialist sycophants attempted to murder a field of Republicans.

Last week, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), who narrowly survived that assault, warned against the growing intensity of hateful leftist rhetoric, including that from Hillary Clinton, who declared, “You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for. … The only thing that the Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”

By “strength,” Clinton was clearly advocating confrontation, whenever and wherever possible.

This follows the Demos’ thematic call for public confrontation by Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), including Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) encouraging agitators to “get up in [their] face” and former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder questioning the legitimacy of the Supreme Court and telling his minions to “kick” those with whom they disagree politically.

But the fear, hate, and disunity we are witnessing today was seeded by Obama. Recall his presidential edict to “argue with [Republicans] and get in their face.” And it was Obama who asserted, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” Of course, he was a disciple of hate.

Regarding the latest leftist assaults on those with differing views, Rep. Scalise notes: “A healthy, strong democracy is not possible if anyone lives in fear of expressing their views. In America, we win battles at the ballot box, not through mob rule or intimidation. While it’s clear many Democrats refuse to accept the election of President Trump, if they want change, they need to convince people with their ideas and actually win elections, rather than call for violent resistance, harassment, and mob rule.”

But again, “We Hate Trump” is the only platform Democrats have, and fomenting fear, anger, hatred, and division is all they offer.

It’s no coincidence that the title of the new book by The Washington Post’s non compos mentis associate editor Bob Woodward is Fear: Trump in the White House.

Predictably, the Post, which is the plaything of Trump-hating leftist mega-billionaire Jeff Bezos, who’s also a charter member of the “Archenemies of Liberty Club,” offered accolades for Woodward’s book and served as the launchpad for the Left’s “fear crazy Trump” campaign ahead of the midterms.

Not surprisingly, however, WaPo and other Leftmedia outlets have been quick to jump on any Republican remark deemed to advocate violence. Case in point would be Trump’s acknowledgment at a Montana rally last week of a 2017 confrontation between Republican Rep. Greg Gianforte and an obnoxious Guardian reporter. “And by the way,” said Trump, “never wrestle him, you understand that? Never. Any guy that can do a body slam, he’s my guy.”

In a New York nanosecond, Trump’s throwaway remark prompted this response from the White House Correspondents’ Association: “All Americans should recoil from the president’s praise for a violent assault on a reporter doing his Constitutionally protected job. This amounts to the celebration of a crime by someone sworn to uphold our laws and an attack on the First Amendment by someone who has solemnly pledged to defend it.”

Meanwhile, their response to all the leftist promotion of violent confrontation: Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Of the Democrats’ hate-filled rhetoric, noted Hoover Institution fellow Shelby Steele concludes: “The Left is still stalked by obsolescence. There is simply not enough menace to service its demands for power. The voices that speak for the left have never been less convincing. It is hard for people to see the menace that drives millionaire football players to kneel before the flag. And then there is the failure of virtually every program the left has ever espoused — welfare, public housing, school busing, affirmative action, diversity programs, and so on. For the American left today, the indulgence in hate is a death rattle.”

Unfortunately, at the current rate of Demo decomposition, the tenor of their awful rhetoric will cause outlier constituents to emerge from their ratholes and take to harassing members of Congress in restaurants and elsewhere. Unfortunately, we’re likely to see more violence, possibly even more targeting of members of Congress and the Judiciary for assassination, before the hate subsides.
