Re: Insanity on Bordering

“It’s laughable yet loathsome that ‘voters decided that they hated [Trump’s] mean tweets more than they appreciated his policies.’ Yes, voters decided, while being thoroughly encouraged by the Democrat deep state/media cabal. They went along like children without any critical thinking skills. Trump is a meanie, so he must be wrong about everything. That’s their puerile rationale. These (mostly) young foolish voters with immature frontal lobes might know all about technology, but they can’t tell right from wrong. They don’t see how our immigration laws are meant to protect them, and they don’t see the Democrat deep state’s malfeasance in circumventing those laws. We are being led to ruin by delinquent children.” —Illinois

“Consider the high percentage of employed people who work for the government and are dependent on the largesse that goes with that employment, and one can understand the obedience to our ‘dictatorial’ administration. Add to that number those who are dependent on government largesse and ignore the cost in lies and illegal activity. As long at those workers feel indebted they will support the ‘dictator.’ When facts and truth are suppressed, there will never be change.” —Washington

Re: Hypocrisy, Moral Equivalency, and Radicals, Oh My!

“We live in a country with a constitutional right of freedom of the press. A paper can print facts without fear of government intervention. That is an amazing blessing. Yet The New York Times seems to be nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Democrats and their government — the Pravda of the US. How does it benefit? Since it’s a business, does it make more money by maintaining this bias? Beyond the usual source of income — subscribers and advertising — is someone paying it?” —New Hampshire

Re: Good News: Catholic Women’s School Comes to Its Senses

“Having biological males take over women’s athletics isn’t necessarily the end. There are nine things that female athletes can do to win back their athletics at the track or in the pool: 1. All go to wherever their team’s athletic challenge is set up. 2. All suit up. 3. All stretch and warm up. 4. All go to the starting line when called. 5. All take a position at the line, feet on the blocks. 6. All get ready/get set. 7. When the gun goes off, all stand up and watch the biological male perform. 8. All return to the locker room. 9. All repeat until women’s athletics are women’s athletics again.” —Missouri

Re: With Little Fanfare, Endangered Species Act Turns 50

“The ecosystem preservation approach is often improperly conceived as ‘total hands-off’ of an area where endangered species are found. For example, we were told that northern spotted owls were so easily spooked by humans that a person sneezing in the woods would cause every nearby owl to permanently abandon its nest. A pair of owls demolished that foolishness by building a nest in a K-Mart sign in a busy shopping area. Bald eagles have likewise adapted to humans. I regularly see them soaring over the small city where I live, or cruising the river next to the city. They nest in the wooded areas nearby. In northern Minnesota, the wolf population has grown large and is blamed for the low deer harvest by human hunters.” —Minnesota

“In the ‘90s, Chicago famously sought to locate its 'Third Chicago Airport’ atop what was (and is) Calumet City — acquiring forcibly, if need be, human habitations. The only thing that might have spared their ejection would have been a surreptitious discovery of a snail darter or perhaps spotted hooty owls on their properties.” —Illinois
