Re: Memorial Day Mixed Messages — Getting It Right
“While reading the words ‘Duty, Honor, Country,’ I could not help but grind my teeth and wipe the tears from my eyes as I pondered as to how our famed U.S. Military Academy has demoted them from their code. May God forgive them! I cannot!” —New York
“I am reminded of these words: ‘To those who have fought for it, freedom has a flavor that the protected will never know.’ And for those who perished, only their families, friends, and brothers in arms can begin to understand that cost.” —Illinois
“One motto I have endeavored throughout my life to practice: NON SIB SED PATRIAE — Not for self but for country. Your patriotic message in honor of Memorial Day fills that motto entirely. Thank you.” —Oregon
“Unfortunately, most people do not distinguish between Memorial Day and Veterans Day. You should not have to be the family member of a brother who died in combat or a veteran to know the difference. Too many people think Memorial Day means the unofficial start of summer and little else.” —California
Re: Race-Baiting Biden Addresses Morehouse Grads
“Biden has a speech writer, and I am certain he has a manager. As president, I expect to hear his ideas and thoughts, not the material deemed useful to a management group. If he can’t do it (he can’t), get out of the way and let a competent person do the job. A parrot can regurgitate the noise that comes from his mouth. We deserve more.” —Washington
“I realize that scoring the president of the United States for a commencement speech is probably some type of ‘badge of honor,’ but why would a ‘historically black university,’ with many outstanding alumni, pick a historically incompetent racist white guy for such an important day? Or perhaps, being that it is an election year, it was the Biden camp that reached out and got lucky by scoring a campaign speech. For those graduates who turned their backs, I am positive it had more to do with things other than the Israel/Hamas conflict.” —New Jersey
Re: Quantico Breach: A Terrorism Dry Run?
“The question of how many are here now is an important one. It’s not like our enemies don’t know that our weak border policy is an open invitation to enter and cause mayhem. Only 1% of those illegally crossing the border is enough to form a formidable army. The primary job of the president is to protect the population. That’s not being done. Wonder who they will blame?” —Washington
“All I can say is: Prepare for another 9/11-type attack. The terrorists are here and just waiting for the word ‘Go.’ Of course, there will be no attack until after the election. Such an attack will most certainly guarantee a Trump win. We now find ourselves in a worse position that we were on September 10, 2001. This is all due to the open border that the Democrats want so badly. It’s also guaranteed that if such an attack does happen, the Biden administration will declare some sort of martial law to begin the gun confiscation process.” —Indiana
“An attempted breach into a USMC base and the White House is silent about it? It seems truly suspicious to me, as I am sure a Jordanian national on a terrorist watch list breaching a Marine Corp base doesn’t do their narrative any good. Does anyone remember what happened at NAS Pensacola? Thank God we didn’t have a repeat of that at Quantico! Good job, Marines! Semper Fi!” —Florida
Re: Leftists Falsely Revise Trump’s Record
“Something else Trump and the Republicans need to do to skewer Biden and the Democrats is to point out that corporations don’t pay income taxes. Those ‘taxes’ are a business expense included in the price of the product or service (paid for by real people). They should then go on to show that the poor and middle-income people are hurt the most by the increased costs.” —Florida
Re: Harvard Brass’s Anti-Semitic Failure
“The ‘New Left’ of the 1970s was successful beyond its wildest dreams in infiltrating and corrupting our colleges and universities. Sadly, congressional committees, advisory councils, and the like are just noise. Until the governing bodies, donors, and administrations of colleges and universities clean house, we are stuck with the results. This is true of both public and private colleges and universities, of which there are precious few standing tall.” —Virginia
Re: Harrison Butker Splits the Uprights
“I’m not a football fan so I’ve never heard of this guy, but I read his speech because it made the Left howling mad, so I knew I’d love it. And I did. It’s so refreshing to hear a man tell a bunch of college kids that no matter what society says, it’s okay for men to be men and it’s normal for women to want to get married and have kids. As an old-fashioned Catholic, it’s also refreshing to have a young person stand up and say tradition is good and that God gives you a foundation along with rules to follow, which is how kids become good adults. Good for Harrison Butker for not being afraid to stand up to the mob.” —Pennsylvania
Re: RCI: Should You Believe Faulty U.S. Crime Stats or Your Own Lying Eyes?
“At this point in our slide from greatness, I can’t believe anything the MSM or the government reports. Too many times they are lying. Then when they’re caught, we hear about it in a Friday afternoon news dump and nothing is done to fix it or bring justice to those responsible. I’ll believe my lying eyes until I see improvement. The communists in our country and government are doing this whole deconstruction of law and order on purpose to bring our country to its knees. There must be a reckoning, and that includes bringing justice to those responsible for what’s been done since 2020.” —Oregon
