Re: Stolen Valor Matters

“What were they thinking? Pretty simple, really: 1) The base doesn’t care. It hates the military anyway. 2) The leftist propaganda machine will lie and cover for him. 3) Ergo, maybe they can fool a handful of low-information voters in the middle, which would be a win.” —Colorado

“Why not? There is one serving in Congress now: Richard Blumenthal. When I think of traitors, I think of John Kerry and what he did in front of a Senate Select Committee in April of ‘71. To add to it all, he wore fatigues to show his contempt (they are a working uniform and unacceptable in any other setting) and ribbons, which are NEVER worn on fatigues. My father, who was a 30-year retired MSC officer and was serving as an adviser in I Corps (served from '66 until Saigon fell), was OUTRAGED by his conduct.” —Oregon

“Having spent 21 years in active duty in the Navy, I can see how it may be easy for some folks to embellish their service. I am sometimes asked if I were a SEAL. (Nope, but I know a few.) I seriously doubt that Walz and the other 'posers’ were asked any questions regarding their service. They just figured it’s more campaign bling they can put on an already lie-tarnished résumé. They felt they don’t have to answer for it, or no one will challenge it. What pitiful characters.” —Montana

Re: Friday Short Cuts

“Being in ‘combat’ is not the same as being in a ‘combat zone.’ The first includes encountering hostile enemy forces, the second an imminent threat. Waltz experienced none. Public Affairs Officers deal with the population in the combat zone. It’s often difficult to differentiate peaceful population from enemy insurgents. Command Sergeant Major is a position usually held by a Sergeant Major (E9) in rank. Waltz was promoted to SGM. If CSM, he was assigned. He quit the required SGM training to retire before his unit deployed to a combat zone. His rank was reduced to Master Sergeant (E8). Honorable military service does not require assignment to a combat zone. What is wrong is to lie about it, i.e. stolen valor. Waltz is a documented liar and untrustworthy.” —Missouri

Re: In Brief: Tim Walz Was a COVID-19 Tyrant

“This is exactly why Tim Walz was picked to be the Democrat vice presidential candidate. He’s a reliable leftist in every way. He shut down churches for 13 months, even forbidding them to gather outdoors, but cited nobody when BLM answered his ‘George Floyd died … of systemic racism’ dogwhistle by gathering to riot. He jailed a coffee shop owner for challenging his order (which had no constitutional or statutory basis), but let the state’s largest candy store (owned by a Democrat donor) remain open as ‘an essential business.’ He has often expressed admiration for communist China, and he, together with his Democrat allies in the legislature, has undertaken to race California to the bottom in social, environment, and education policies.” —Minnesota

Re: Camo Kamala Keeps on Hiding

“Basement 2.0 will work every bit as good as Basement 1.0. What has changed for the better? Nothing. The no-nothing 14-17-year-olds then are no-nothing 18-21-year-olds now — i.e., of voting age. They will vote for Harris. Another way to put it: The country is drifting further left by the year. So if they got a mental defective like Biden elected by simply hiding him, the same thing will work for Kamala. The whitewash campaign will be quite effective, erasing her awful record, because people have no memory beyond three news cycles. What HAS changed is at least 10 million illegals who have entered, and a great many will find ways to vote.” —Oklahoma

Re: A Trump v Harris Reality Check

“This is singularly the best contrasting analysis between these two candidates I have read. And yes, Trump is burning up political capital by attacking fellow Republicans when he should be laser-focused on Harris and her stolen valor sidekick, Tim Walz. A big part of the Democrat strategy is to just let Trump talk, because the fear he foments will ensure he loses in November.” —New York

“From our perspective on the Left Coast, our country is toast. Harris’s adoring Leftmedia has decided she’s the savior of socialism, and the Democrats’ coming Kamalafest in Chicago next week will affirm that.” —California

Re: UK Unrest: What’s Contributing to the Chaos?

“I’ve now lived to the point I’ve lost hope, politically speaking at least. At 63, I don’t recognize the country I grew up in anymore. We’ve reached a point where a majority — and an ever-growing one at that — does not cherish or even respect traditional values such as hard work, self-sacrifice, fairness, and good character. Forty years ago, Ronald Reagan spoke of the ‘shining city on a hill’ and about how America’s best days were ahead of her. He was so sadly wrong. Anyone with a passing understanding of the Bible can tell you why. England has reached the point we’ll reach soon. It’ll lock up the ‘far-right thugs’ for rioting while the BLM/antifa types burn, loot, and murder with impunity.” —Oklahoma

Re: A School Ban We Can Agree On

“I agree that students shouldn’t have their phones in school and they definitely should not be on the Internet, but how will our children defend themselves against the Marxists that are indoctrinating them when they can no longer video their lies and indoctrination? Do we really think that the schools are not allowing cellphones because they want to teach? I do not. They do not want cellphones in schools because they do not want our kids recording their crimes anymore. Beware! The Department of Education has no intention of educating your students. It only wants to indoctrinate them without proof or oversight.” —Colorado

Re: Trash Talk

“Thank you, Ron. I often struggle with speaking the truth because of the name-calling. I somehow get caught up in people-pleasing instead of trusting in God. The devil and his cohort are busy, and I always remind myself that the devil was the beautiful angel, so everything he says will sound right. I have to trust God to guide me. God is great!” —Wisconsin

Re: Profiles of Valor: COL Gabby Gabreski (USA/USAF)

“I, too, commanded the 61st (known as the ‘Top Dawgs’). When the venerable WWII commander of the Tuskegee Airmen spotted my Air Force flight suit when we were doing flight demonstrations at Oshkosh, he asked what I flew. I answered, ‘A-10s and F-16s,’ and they were impressed, but not as impressed as I was with their amazing history in the P-51 Mustang. At that same event, an elderly gentleman asked about my Top Dawg flight suit patch, and I asked him how he knew of the Top Dawgs — he was Gabby’s crew chief!” —Georgia
