Re: The Real Reason for Zuckerberg’s Shift
“Until Mark Zuckerberg rethinks the use of ‘fact-checkers’ on his platform, all his claims are baseless. Most of the time, fact-checkers don’t even use or have facts for declaring something false. It is merely their opinion. Why is it that those who are targeted with fact-checks are not allowed to fact-check the fact-checkers? When it can be shown that they are merely using biased opinions, their ability to fact-check should be limited for a period of time, at least on that one subject.” —Nevada
“We are seeing the newest form of crisis control from the always-working-for-power secular humanists running the present-day global Left. By changing their once-rigid worldview and statements now, they are intending to confound the voters — a bet that a stupid populace they helped create will again fall for a different form of lying than what they’ve been using for decades. This helps explain both Zuckerberg and Harris.” —North Carolina
Re: Choose Your Champion: Robinson or Wax
“So, GOP primary voters picked Robinson because Trump endorsed him? Once again, Trump picks someone whose chief quality is being personally loyal to him instead of picking the best candidate. When is the GOP going to learn that candidate quality really does matter?” —California
Re: Dems, Foreign Leaders, and Election Interference
“Exactly what ‘skin in the game’ does London Mayor Sadiq Khan and others have with respect to American governance? He and others are beneficiaries of the United States, but when have they taxed their people to send cash to Americans? It is fair to state that other nations have an interest in who and how the United States is led, but make no mistake, their interests are driven by what they want from the United States. As a reminder to Mayor Khan, the UK does not pay taxes to the United States, so the UK has no right to representation in the United States. I would have thought 1776 and 1812 made that abundantly clear.” —Tennessee
Re: The Word for Harris’s Economic Vision Isn’t ‘Capitalist’
“New Trump ad: Get Biden on screen with the words, ‘As vice president, there wasn’t a single thing that I did that she couldn’t do, and so I was able to delegate her responsibility on everything from foreign policy to domestic policy.’ Followed by, ‘I’m Donald Trump, and I approve this message.” —Florida
Re: Nuclear Odyssey
“Congress gave Big Pharma immunity over three experimental vaccines on the premise of a 'crisis,’ so why not immunity for nuclear developers who are working with proven safe technology? (They’ve been shouting ‘climate crisis’ after all, haven’t they?) In the real world, a good compromise would be to bar lawsuits after an arbitrary point in the process. Don’t let them wait to file lawsuits over an obscure species of wildlife or some other nebulous abstraction until approvals are imminent or, God forbid, construction is underway. They can have their chance during public review; after that, the window is closed.” —California
“The supply chain issues are not small. Sometime since the early 1970s, the United States lost the industrial capacity to build very large stainless steel pressure vessels. Since then, any nuclear reactor vessels larger than those used in aircraft carriers and submarines have had to be ordered from Japan, South Korea, or France. We still haven’t agreed upon a permanent way to handle spent nuclear fuel. We’ve even shut down reprocessing facilities. At the very least, we should move the oldest waste casks to Yucca Mountain until we decide whether to recover the plutonium from them to make more nuclear fuel.” —Minnesota
