TIM WALZ IS A RADICAL, “BIG GOVERNMENT LIBERAL”

• Tim Walz is the most radical, far-left vice-presidential nominee in U.S. history.
  • Walz believes that “one person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness” and has said he is “more than happy” to be labeled as a “big government liberal.” 
• Walz would be a rubberstamp for Kamala Harris to wage war on American energy, make inflation worse, raise taxes on hardworking Americans, and embolden our adversaries.
• By picking Tim Walz as her running mate, Kamala Harris has doubled down on her dangerously liberal, weak, and failed agenda.

WALZ SUPPORTS KAMALA’S OPEN BORDERS AGENDA

• A Harris-Walz administration will cement the Harris-Biden open borders agenda, which has led to over 10 million encounters and millions of “gotaways.”
• Walz and Harris are both strong supporters of sanctuary cities.
  • Harris consistently supported San Francisco being a sanctuary city when she was District Attorney and Attorney General.
  • Walz has been clear that “yes” Minnesota should be a sanctuary state.
  • Walz voted against two bills that would punish “sanctuary cities” by withholding federal funding.
  • Walz promised that “I will not back down on that commitment” of making Minnesota a sanctuary state, saying “I support policies that keep law enforcement from enforcing federal laws that everyone knows are broken.
• Walz and Harris have spent their political careers attacking border security and ICE.
  • Both Walz and Harris have been vehemently against President Trump’s border wall, with Walz going so far as to say he wants to invest in a ”ladder factory“ to help illegal scale the border wall.
  • Walz referred to ICE raids of criminal illegal immigrants as "terrorism” and Harris has compared ICE to the KKK.
• Allowing millions of illegals to pour in through an open border is not enough, Walz and Harris want to fundamentally change the American electorate by providing citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants.
• Walz and Harris want illegal immigrants to receive better treatment than many American citizens.
  • Walz and Harris support giving taxpayer funded health care to illegal immigrants.
  • Walz has enacted legislation during his time as governor for illegal immigrants to receive driver’s licenses, tuition-free college, taxpayer funded health care insurance, and the ability to vote in precinct caucuses in Minnesota.

WALZ AND HARRIS WILL DESTROY THE ECONOMY WITH MASSIVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING

• Both Harris and Walz voted against President Trump’s “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” which lowered taxes for 80 percent of Americans.
• Under Walz, Minnesota was one of the last states to fully recover the jobs lost during the pandemic. 
  • Minnesota did not fully recover the jobs lost during the pandemic until June 2023, more than three years after the pandemic began.
  • In 2023, Minnesota ranked 45^th for economic growth and was rated the most expensive state to start a new business. 
• Walz is right alongside Harris in wanting to eliminate private health insurance through their support of a government takeover of healthcare.
  • As Senator, Harris was the first co-sponsor of Senator Bernie Sanders $32 trillion “Medicare for All” bill which would raise taxes on the middle-class.
  • Walz has expressed support for “universal health care.”
• Walz is gaslighting the American people about the state of the economy while supporting the policies that led to 40-year highs in inflation.
  • Americans are paying over 20 percent more for everything since Harris took office and Walz blames Americans upset about these high costs by saying “we polarized our perceptions about everything.”
  • The historic inflation started when Harris and the Democrats enacted the $1.9 trillion so-called “American Rescue Plan” that was supposed to be for COVID, despite less than 9 percent of the bill being spent on COVID.
    • Walz celebrated this bill that sent inflation soaring.
  • That wasn’t enough inflationary spending for Harris, so she and the Democrats later enacted the “Inflation Reduction Act” – with most of the money in the bill going to climate related policy that had nothing to do with lowering inflation and led to tax hikes that increased household costs for all Americans.
    • Walz celebrated the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act.”
  • Harris supersized the IRS with an additional $80 billion and 87,000 new agents to audit Americans making less than $75,000 a year, and Walz celebrated it.
  • Harris’ inflation crisis has led to record high household debt of $17.69 trillion and $1 trillion in credit card debt.

WALZ AND HARRIS ARE CLIMATE RADICALS

• Harris and Walz are both climate radicals that support policies that dramatically increase energy costs, kill jobs, and bankrupt Americans.
• Harris and Walz want a carbon-free world at the expense of the American economy.
  • As a Senator, Harris was the original cosponsor of the $93 trillion Green New Deal that would implement a “carbon tax” which would kill up to 5.2 million jobs, cost the average American family $165,000, contribute to a GDP loss of over $15 trillion, increase household electricity costs by over 30 percent, and have negligible climate benefits.
  • As Governor, Walz signed a bill that would force Minnesota to operate solely on carbon-free electricity by 2040, an even faster pace than California.
• The Harris-Walz administration will continue U.S. adherence to the Paris Climate Agreement.
  • Walz criticized President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement. 
  • On her first day in office, Harris took the first step in rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement which would kill anywhere from 400,000 to 7 million jobs, force American households to spend up to 20 percent more for their electricity, cost the average family of four more than $20,000 in total income loss, and shrink the U.S. economy by $2.5 trillion. 
• Walz and Harris are coming for your gas-powered vehicles.
  • During her time as Vice President, Harris enacted the “strictest-ever rules” for tailpipe emissions, essentially forcing a “de facto electric vehicle mandate” onto America.
  • As Governor, Walz adopted “stricter emissions standards for cars, trucks and SUVs, aligning itself with California” despite objections from auto dealers over the state delegating authority to California. 

HARRIS AND WALZ WON’T STAND UP TO CRIMINALS

• Crime has skyrocketed under Harris and Walz.
  • As vice president, Harris has presided over a 37 percent increase in violent crime, 42 percent increase in rape, 63 percent increase in robbery, 34 percent increase in assault, 32 percent increase in domestic violence, and 42 percent increase in motor vehicle theft.
  • As governor, Walz presided over crime rate increases several years in a row after he was elected and as of 2023, violent crime in Minneapolis and St. Paul remains “much higher” than pre-pandemic levels.
• Harris and Walz are big advocates for defunding the police.
  • Walz has called for “alternatives to policing” and Harris said the U.S. needs to “reimagine” law enforcement.
  • Harris has supported cuts to police resources on multiple occasions.
• When BLM rioters were burning Minneapolis down, Walz hesitated on several occasions to send in the national guard.
  • On Walz’s watch, Minneapolis suffered an estimated $700 million in riot damage, roughly $500 million of it concentrated in immigrant-heavy business corridors.
  • Harris later raised money to bail out these violent protestors who burned down Minneapolis.

• Harris and Walz support policies that would empty jails and make America less safe, with Harris saying she aims to “end mass incarceration,” and Walz signing a weak on crime omnibus bill in 2023 overhauling its criminal justice system.

WALZ AND HARRIS WILL BE SOFT ON CHINA

• With Walz’ long love for China and Harris’ incompetency, the Harris-Walz administration would be the weakest administration on China in U.S. history.
• Walz and Harris refuse to get tough, and China is taking advantage.
  • As Senator, Harris opposed President Trump’s tariffs against China and Walz criticized President Trump’s trade war with China and said “he needs to start doing his job and end the trade war with China.”
  • Under the Harris-Biden administration, China has been secretly building military facilities in nearby countries, ramping up its cyber-attacks, and targeting Taiwan economically.  
• Walz has deep ties to China.
  • Walz “always has been fascinated by Communist China. He remembers from his childhood pictures of Mao Tse-tung, hung in public places and carried in parades.”
  • Walz in 2016: “I lived in China and as I’ve said I’ve been there about 30 times… I don’t fall into the category that China necessarily needs to be an adversarial relationship, I totally disagree.”
  • Walz has close ties to the Twin Cities-based nonprofit organization Minnesota Global that houses an alleged CCP police station in Minnesota, which Walz has failed to shut down as governor.

WALZ LIED ABOUT HIS MILITARY SERVICE

• Walz has a history of being a liar when it comes to his time in the military.
  • Walz falsely inflated his National Guard rank to advance his political career.
  • He has been criticized by three former National Guard members for quitting his position in 2005 after the unit was notified on their deployment to Iraq.  
  • During his 2006 campaign, Walz distributed several news articles that implied he had served in the Middle East. 
  • In 2007, Walz thanked Nancy Pelosi after she introduced him as a veteran who had served “on the battlefield.”
  • Walz claimed he carried weapons of war in war – forcing the Harris campaign to walk back his statement and claim he “misspoke.”
