Trans Volleyball Player Still Wreaking Havoc
SJSU has led a campaign of intimidation and suppression with regard to transgender policy in its sports.
At the collegiate level, the San Jose State University (SJSU) women’s volleyball team continues to be at the center of the fight for integrity in women’s sports. To date, five universities have forfeited games against SJSU because it has a male volleyball player on the team.
Blaire (Brayden) Fleming, the player in question, poses a danger to female players given the speed at which he hits volleyballs. Unsurprisingly, Fleming has broken records for the number of kill shots this season — 250 and counting.
Complete slap in the face to every single female athlete. Why is the @NCAA pretending that it is “fair” for biological men to compete against women?

It’s not just other schools in the Mountain West Conference that are speaking out and standing up against this injustice. Fleming’s own teammates — particularly team co-captain Brooke Slusser — are mounting legal cases against the school and conference for allowing him to be on the team and endangering female players. Slusser is also part of a class-action lawsuit against the NCAA. The suit correctly asserts that the NCAA has violated Title IX by refusing to protect women’s sports and allowing males to compete.
In the midst of all this controversy, SJSU decided to suspend one of the associate head coaches of the women’s volleyball team. Melissa Batie-Smoose was told to hand over her key card after she filed a Title IX complaint on behalf of her players. According to Breitbart, that complaint came after “allegations emerged that Fleming and allies were plotting to injury players who did not support Fleming’s bid to be allowed to play as a woman on the team.” Breitbart went on to explain, “Batie-Smoose alleges Fleming and another teammate violated team rules by leaving their hotel on October 3 to meet with Colorado State player Malaya Jones. During this meeting, Fleming and the unnamed SJSU player gave Jones scouting reports on their team, and Fleming agreed that he would not block any shots from Colorado State directed at Slusser.”
If true, then SJSU has gone too far in protecting this individual. Fleming is allegedly going to extreme lengths to bully his teammates into violating their own convictions. Suspending Batie-Smoose instead of Fleming was not only unjust but also removed the last barrier of protection that these female players had. They no longer have a coach advocating and championing their feelings and concerns.
The feeling is mutual from Batie-Smoose, who told reporters, “Safety is being taken away from women. Fair play is taken away from women. We need more and more people to do this and fight this fight because women’s sports, as we know it right now, will be forever changed.”
SJSU has led a campaign of intimidation and suppression with regard to transgender policy in its sports. Most leftists who advocate for this tragedy follow the same tactic — a tactic that the majority of everyday Americans take issue with. In fact, the transgenderism issue swayed many in Trump’s favor. When CNN hosts react like this and refuse to have a conversation, that’s off-putting.

As Hot Air’s John Sexton put it: “Shut up, he explained. That’s really all the Democrats have. They can’t allow any discussion on this issue because to do so undermines the core tenant of their faith, i.e. trans women are women. So all they can do is shout down anyone who disagrees by calling them a bigot.”
Men playing in female sports is unjust, unfair, and unsafe for women. That’s why we have separate sports in the first place. Men and women are, in fact, different, and the failure to acknowledge that reality is what the rest of the country is reacting to. Thank God for these brave college players who are standing up. Keep fighting, girls!
