Re: It’s Not Just TikTok — The Social Media Data-Mining Solution
“I have spent the last 20 years as a senior technology executive with a major tech company — which is why I get The Patriot Post to my private email address. Trump and congressional Republicans talk about free speech but have done nothing to protect it. And not only do they have the responsibility to protect social media user data privacy, but as Alexander noted, they already have a means for doing that. At the same time, they can restore free speech to these platforms. So why all the smoke and mirror distractions with TikTok? If Trump and Congress don’t take this on, and soon, then they are just playing us.” —California
“This is the most significant and imminently doable legal proposal for protecting free speech and user data on social media platforms I have ever read. Memo to Trump, et al….” —New York
“It’s hard to be optimistic about any reform on this issue. This country has slowly fallen into a disgusting paradigm where money means more than integrity, and money means more than individual rights. If Trump and Congress did not do anything about this in his first term, why would you expect them to take a stand for free speech now?” —North Carolina
“Yet another no-nonsense assessment on the drone hysterics. And yet the ‘true believers’ have now taken Trump’s assurance that there was nothing to this hysteria, and they are trying to spin that into something it isn’t.” —New Jersey
“I read Alexander’s first column in December debunking all the drone hype. I was waiting to see if Trump would prove him right, and he just did. Thanks Patriot Post for cutting through the media hysteria!” —Pennsylvania
Re: What They Don’t Understand About Trump’s America
“Well, every word of Kisin’s assessment of what Europeans don’t get could be applied to what the left-elite Democrats in this country don’t get about Trump. This was an amazing 10-point marker.” —Tennessee
Re: Trump Challenges Birthright Citizenship
“It’s way past time to evaluate the count of illegals and noncitizens in our national census. The only useful purpose is to inflate the count for political representation and therefore increase the number congressional representatives who contrive to spend our money. Make it stop.” —Washington
Re: Repatriation Tales, Trump Style
“Finally, a government that is working for the American people. Homan is taking his job seriously. And how about Karoline Leavitt? She knows how to handle the press! It’s refreshing to actually see things happening other than lip service out of Washington, DC.” —Illinois
“If we are to resurrect the American Republic, we must secure our God-given Natural Right to be citizens, not subjects, which is the premise of the Second Amendment.” —Allen West
“Resurrecting the American Republic should also begin by reversing the anti-constitutional trend beginning with Abraham Lincoln to build and empower a powerful central government without a national division of power. Return to the states their rights as 50 sovereign governments, not submissive pawns of an autocratic Washington, DC, which presumes to have the unrestricted power to dictate to states and citizens through ‘legislative entrenchment’ and the ‘unmistakability doctrine’ what is ‘best’ for them.” —North Carolina
“President Trump’s executive order requiring federal employees to respect our right to speak freely is welcome, but there is no guarantee that it will be obeyed. News that at least one Biden-Harris political operative was planted in the Civil Service suggests corrupt hiring practices, and that dishonesty and abuse of power by federal agencies will continue until the bad actors are discovered and fired or prosecuted. We still have to be cautious, watchful, and skeptical of government agencies.” —Minnesota
“I’m the first black press secretary. The first person of color press secretary. The first openly queer press secretary. The first Haitian American immigrant press secretary. The first press secretary to be all of the above. Being a first meant that my responsibilities were beyond those in the job description, the load heavier.” —Karine Jean-Pierre
“I obviously need to rewrite my resume: ‘I am male, white, and straight. My ancestors were from Scotland and Ireland. I am the first nearsighted, brown-eyed person in my family’s history to recover from a severely broken right foot. Because of that, the job has always been about more than being white and straight. And because of my foot, the loads have always felt heavier.’” —Oklahoma
“Stopping distribution is a good first step toward getting spending under control. I’m certain there will be many surprises on how foolishly our money has been spent to serve some unnecessary cause. I remember when family trusts and corporate foundations were credited with massive philanthropic work. Slowly, the government learned that giving away money was a good way to buy votes, and then came the shift in charity from genuine to artificial government bribery. Fix it. Tax deductible was once an essential part of social services.” —Washington
Re: Trading Pocketknives on the Courthouse Steps
“Great story. It was nice to remember. I was probably around 10 years old when (one) of the passages into manhood happened. My first pocketknife was from Dad, complete with all the dos and don'ts regarding its use and care. Sixty-five years later, I feel naked without my pocketknife. When the circumstance presents itself, I like to comment to a young man that he is not properly dressed without a pocketknife. Most of the time they don’t get it.” —Iowa
