Obama Eyes Deal With Iran
In January, Deputy National Security adviser Ben Rhodes said Obama’s next legacy-forging move, his ObamaCare moment on the international stage, will be to forge a deal with Iran. “Bottom line is, this is the best opportunity we’ve had to resolve the Iranian issue diplomatically, certainly since President Obama came to office, and probably since the beginning of the Iraq war,” Rhodes said in audio collected by the Washington Free Beacon. “So no small opportunity, this is a big deal. This is probably the biggest thing that President Obama will do in his second term on foreign policy. This is health care for us, just to put it in context.” Meanwhile, the government of Iran made it clear the United States is Iran’s enemy number one. “The US is still the great Satan and the number one enemy of the (Islamic) revolution and the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation,” the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said in a statement.
