Pelosi Denies Knowing Gruber
Nancy Pelosi is in denial. First, she denied last week’s election was a GOP wave. Now, she denies she’s ever even heard of Jonathan Gruber, the MIT professor who happened to be a key architect of ObamaCare. “I don’t know who he is. He didn’t help write our bill,” Pelosi insisted Thursday. “[Y]ou have a person who wasn’t writing our bill, commenting on what was going on when we were writing the bill who has withdrawn some of the statements that he made.” Gruber, as you may recall, called American voters “stupid” and said it was necessary for Democrats to deceive them in order to pass ObamaCare. Of course, Pelosi praised Gruber’s work in 2009 before it became inconvenient to know him. And her website cites him by name in at least seven places. Maybe if she had read the bill, she would have found out what’s in it – or who wrote it.
