Tuesday Short Cuts

“This has now become a struggle about good versus evil. And the president of the United States is evil.” —Howard Dean

Dezinformatsiya: “There is no invasion. No one’s coming to get you. There is nothing at all to worry about.” —Fox News’s Shepard Smith minimizing the “caravasion

Braying Jenny: “The GOP is desperate to change the conversation from their assault on Americans’ health care to the baseless fear of some families 1,000 miles away from the border.” —Nancy Pelosi

Hyper hypocrisy: “I’d like to think there are compassionate conservatives out there who think there’s nothing compassionate about ripping immigrant children from the arms of their mothers at the border and putting them in pens.” —Barack Obama, who started the policy of putting these kids in pens

It helps being a Democrat: “They promised to take on corruption. Remember that? They have gone to Washington and just plundered away. In Washington, they have racked up enough indictments to field a football team. Nobody in my administration got indicted.” —Barack Obama (Left unmentioned: Eric Holder, whom the House held in contempt, and David Petraeus, a convict who was careless with classified information.)

Village Idiot: “[Trump] launched his presidential run … talking about Islamic radicalization. And this president has radicalized so many more people than ISIS ever did.” —GQ magazine’s Julia Ioffe, who later apologized

Alpha Jackass: “This has now become a struggle about good versus evil. And the president of the United States is evil.” —Howard Dean

Non Compos Mentis: “We have to go after the sources of evil and not those perpetrating it, contrary to what the president likes to do.” —David Hogg, Parkland “survivor”

Non Compos Mentis II: “I know — they all look alike.” —Hillary Clinton after a white female interviewer confused Cory Booker with Eric Holder (Clinton gets a pass!)

And last… “It’s amazing how people who believe that over-heated political rhetoric causes mass murder compare their opponents to Nazis without hesitation.” —Rich Lowry
