Re: “Russia Quickly Crossed Biden’s Red Line

“This is total looney tunes! Maybe we should have told the Japanese emperor that Pearl Harbor was off limits. Maybe we should have told Osama bin Laden that U.S. airplanes and buildings were off limits. Instead of needing a firearm for self defense or a burglar alarm, I will just put a sign in my front yard warning criminals that my home is off limits for robbery or invasion!” —Texas

Re: “BSA — The Bankrupt Scouts of America

“My son made Eagle with Gold Palms. He completed his journey just before BSA went off the rails and opened membership to homosexuals, violating its own code of ethics. Once it did he dropped out at 17 years old. While many other Eagle Scouts turned in their badges out of protest, my son hung on to his because he earned his awards and is very proud of what they meant to him. However, when you mention ‘BSA’ to him, he snorts in disgust at what it became virtually overnight. He plans to use his rank to inform his children — by example — of what becoming an Eagle Scout means and just how far the country has fallen. So his accomplishment will continue to serve the country that he earned it from. Perhaps it can be saved by Eagle Scouts like him.” —Connecticut

Re: “American Idles

“The organization I work for offers education and on-the-job training for people to position themselves for better-paying jobs and yet we are currently struggling to get people to attend. So much of the 18- to 24-year-olds believe that they are being repressed. They have never heard the message that you can be anything you want — but you have to work for it. The schools have been teaching them for years that capitalism is bad. I was taught personal integrity. Don’t be a taker — be a giver. It offends me that the young people are being taught to be takers and not givers.” —Wisconsin

“One of the long-term consequences of youth squandered in idleness is a lack of retirement savings. Money properly invested early in life provides the greatest returns simply by virtue of a longer time to compound returns. This is especially critical now because Social Security and Medicare have passed the point of no return — their unfunded liabilities cannot be met by any realistic revenue projections for more than the next seven years, if that. After that, these same young people may discover their parents are in need of their assistance.” —Minnesota

Re: “Psaki Earns Three Pinocchios for Her ‘Defund’ Lie

“Jen ‘Circle Back’ Psaki also played a little word salad game when inferring that the
Republicans voted to defund, as she put it, COPS. From the DOJ website: ‘The history of the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) dates back to 1994, when the passage of Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act (H.R. 3355) authorized an $8.8 billion expenditure over six years. The COPS Office was created to distribute and monitor these funds.’ So the Republicans voted to defund a DOJ slush fund for ‘community policing,’ not law enforcement in general! An outright lie to paint Republicans as anti-police.” —Maryland

Re: “Christianity Today Promotes ‘Gun Violence’ Fallacy

“‘People were killing, maiming, threatening, abusing, enslaving, stealing, etc. long before the firearm was invented because the source of violence lies in the hearts and minds of people.’ Thank you, Mr. Gallatin. Truer words were never spoken. I’ll make one other point. Aside from Mr. Gallatin’s claim that Ms. Schumann is wrong with her interpretation of Jesus’s purpose and of Christianity itself, by not acknowledging the human evil behind violence, she appears guilty of a tremendous level of hubris. Is she truly never guilty of anything? Is she that pure? Are inanimate guns more guilty than the violent, deranged humans who pull the triggers?” —Illinois

“Too bad Taylor Schumann never studied her Bible. Why did James have a sword in the garden? Because Jesus told him to carry one for self-defense (Luke 22:36-37). How does a homeowner keep his property secure? By being fully armed, although he can be overwhelmed (Luke 11:21). See also Joel 3:9-10 and Matthew 10:34.” —South Carolina

“As I recall, Cain did not use a gun to kill Abel, the first documented murder in history.  Furthermore, Christianity has always affirmed a right to self defense as well as the need to protect others, going back to the Old Testament: ‘… nor shall you stand by idly when your neighbor’s life is at stake’ (Lev 19:16).” —Virginia

“If guns actually were the cause of violence and death, then countries like the UK would see extremely low levels of death from violence. Instead, they have high levels of death by knives to the point the government thought it would be a good idea to take knives away from its citizens. As you say, it is what’s in a man’s heart that causes the violence, not what tool is used to commit the violence.” —Colorado

Re: “Cuomo Declares ‘Gun Violence’ a Public Health Crisis

“The leftists are the ‘root’ problem for violence. They always justify burning, shooting, mugging, and looting as nice activities supporting their cause. Perhaps leftist control is much more appropriate than gun control. And it will cure the ‘root’ cause.” —Alabama
