Re: “Biden Tries to Make Virginia Race All About Trump

“Upon my first command in the 101st Airborne Division, I was advised I had three envelopes in my desk. The first time I was in trouble, I opened envelope #1. It said: ‘Blame the previous commander.’ Second time I was in trouble, I opened envelope #2. It said: ‘Say you haven’t been in command long enough.’ Third time I opened envelope #3. It said: ‘Make three new envelopes.’ Biden opened envelope #1 and stopped. Enough! When will sheeple demand he make three new envelopes?” —Missouri

Re: “Democrats’ Latest Scheme for Taxing Wealth

“The Constitution allows income tax (by amendment), but unrealized gains are not income by any definition — because they only exist on paper at a moment in time. Tomorrow’s market might zero them out or even turn the situation into unrealized losses. But I’m sure Democrats Marxists are happy to grab part of the upside while ignoring the downside. Despite Democrat Marxist lies, this is a wealth tax — nowhere authorized in the Constitution. But then, as the Framers knew, an income tax — especially a progressive one targeted to loot ‘disfavored’ citizens — is incompatible with natural rights.” —Illinois

“This whole ‘fairness’ issue involving who is paying taxes and who is not is a joke. The ‘billionaires’ don’t chose whether or not to pay taxes; rather, the billionaires plan their affairs to take advantage of the tax laws implemented by Congress. If it is not fair that someone is not paying taxes, then let’s go to a gross income tax and apply it to everyone, perhaps with a graduated rate schedule. Presently, almost half of all working Americans don’t pay any income tax at all. Is that ‘fair’?” —Arizona

“All of the noise about evil government behavior doesn’t seem to motivate the offended party to follow through on corrective action. Have Republicans become so weak that they cannot handle Democrat malfeasance? Elections are still principally a popularity contest rather than an a job interview. It would be nice if they would just shut up and do the job they are hired for.” —Washington

Re: “And Now It’s Time for Spending Myths With Joe

“Charity didn’t used to be the governments job. It was done by churches, fraternal organizations, and societies. Money didn’t go out haphazardly. The money handlers were people who knew the needy personally and knew their needs. People were often found jobs by the same group. This made sure nobody sat on the couch collecting. It wasn’t delved out by overworked, unknowing bureaucrats.” —Nevada

“There is a practical consideration to deficit spending. All the debt that is issued in the form of bonds draws interest that must be paid annually to avoid a default. That interest is accounting for an ever-increasing portion of the annual federal budget. Money that’s spent on interest payments isn’t available for other purposes. The government could issue more bonds to pay the interest. That type of arrangement is called a Ponzi scheme, and we all know how Ponzi schemes end.” —Illinois

Re: “Another Grilling for AG Garland

“When he was nominated for the Supreme Court, Garland was billed as a ‘moderate.’ Regardless of your political perspective, we all owe Mitch McConnell big time for refusing to bring his nomination to the Senate for consideration until after the election.” —Virginia

Re: “Biden’s ‘National Strategy on Gender’

“Not feeling comfortable in your own body is a particular type of mental illness and should be treated with therapy, not accommodation. Thinking that sex can actually be changed is a different but more dangerous type of mental illness, and it too must be countered with truth and not entertained as valid.” —Virginia

Re: “Governor Abbott Sticks Up for Women’s Sports

“The only way the ‘believers’ will change their minds is to be directly hit by the impact of their nonsense. When their daughters get their teeth knocked out by a ‘transgender’ individual in a school athletic event, then they will agree that there are boys and there are girls. That’s it. I’m still mystified by this problem. Why can one not be happy being a girl who is ‘different’ but still a girl? Same for boys. Except boys just say they are girls to get access to girls’ private spaces.” —Nevada

Re: “Soros Launches Disinformation News Network

“When I was in school, books like 1984 and Animal Farm were supposed to be nothing more than good literature that opened up healthy discussion among peers of students. Little did I realize that someone (Soros, Bezos, Zuckerberg, and Dorsey) would use them as a plan of attack to destroy America.” —Florida
