Re: “Memo to Demos: Stop Hampering Economic Growth”
“In the last 20 months, the Fed has increased the money supply by more than 25% to fund massive government spending. We haven’t produced anywhere close to that in goods and services. Consequently, the full price impact is not going to end quickly; the purchasing power of the dollar will have to decline much more before prices stabilize. Now the leftists in Congress want to toss another $3-$7 trillion on the bonfire. This will cause a further 15%-30% increase in prices. Deficit-financed welfare spending is like junk food for the economy — sometimes it causes hyperactivity, but in the long run it sickens, often fatally. Raising taxes to pay for social spending is like infecting the subject with parasitic worms to prevent obesity.” —Minnesota
Re: “Good News and Bad News About Inflation”
“One thing that should be made clearer to all citizens is that raising the price of anything means more sales tax money for that jurisdiction to spend. Yet taxpayers will not see a reduction in their federal, state, and local taxes because of all the extra tax money being collected. Inflation taxing affects everybody.. Those with money to spend are taxed more during inflationary periods. Governments are the biggest benefactors. Hardest hit are the working class, those who actually get paid for doing a job. These people are the Golden Geese that Biden and his inept cronies keep attacking, using them to prop up all those who choose not to work.” —Washington
Re: “Leftist Policies Are Breaking the Supply Chain”
“Democrats especially do not seem to comprehend that the duty of the federal government is to protect our Republic from being attacked by foreign or domestic enemies. Poking their noses and slimy fingers into the running of the various states is beyond their duties and obligation. As we look back through history, we can find many cases in which the whole situation turned worse after the federal government acted to help out. Democrats ignore this and strut around like a bantam rooster proud of its feathers.” —Illinois
Re: “The Woke Ship Harvey Milk”
“I spent 30+ years serving in the U.S. Navy and my disgust is great for those who pander to the leftists and praise individuals only because of their perversions or contributions to progressive causes. Ships should be named by uniformed Navy and Marine Corps servicemen to honor their heroes. Of those mentioned in the article, not a single one is a hero worthy of naming a ship after. I would not want to serve on any ship named after any of them. The names of politicians have no place on ships when we have many in all branches of service who gave their lives serving our country honorably. They should be recognized for their contributions, not polarized politicians, gays, or union leaders. They have not earned that honor.” —Washington
Re: “Former DNI Ratcliffe: Durham Is Closing In”
“All would have been lost to history if Clinton had won the election. She and her media and Swamp allies would have walked away seemingly clean. Two things to take away. First, the people assigned by DOJ to investigate the Trump-Russian collusion found absolutely no evidence to support the claims of collusion. NONE. That gathering was a stacked deck of Democrat supporters. Trump did not try to influence them. The second thing is we need to acknowledge the dignity of law professor Jonathan Turley. He is the kind of citizen we should all strive to emulate. He is a Democrat that does not filter truth through biased eyes.” —Nevada
Re: “China Is Arming Up”
“Not to diminish the military threat, but I believe the economic threat is far more serious. China will dominate (control) international trade for the entire world before 2049. The Yaun will replace the dollar and China will manipulate the U.S. into bankruptcy. The Chinese Communist Party has no intention to avoid destroying U.S. infrastructure and labor supply. It plans to subjugate all of it to work for PRC’s interests. Our internal social issues distract and deceive us from our real threat: China. Focus now and take immediate effective countermeasures, or learn Mandarin.” —Missouri
Re: “Biden Attacks U.S. Oil, Again Begs OPEC for Help”
“Pathetic leadership from this administration. We have a president who canceled every measure in place that made us self-sufficient. Then has the temerity to ‘beg’ OPEC to supply us. Then our ‘energy’ secretary is asked about her plan to return us to self-sufficiency and she actually laughs at the interviewer and says something like, Do you think I have a magic wand? It’s up to OPEC. What, was she appointed agriculture secretary and was shown the wrong desk? Folks, we are in for a really rough stretch.” —North Carolina
Re: “Is the Leftmedia Trying to Incite Riots — or Worse?”
“Great article, Harold. I live in Oregon and I’ve seen the violence in Portland, the dismantling of its police force, and the total distain for business owners, home owners, and property rights. I have relatives that moved out of the city just to feel safe. These aren’t ‘protests.’ It’s plain old anarchy with killing, raping, burning, and pillaging. If a person isn’t part of the mob, he or she is the target. These are acts that would have gotten most people a couple years in prison just a short couple of decades ago. Now, with a supermajority Democrat rule, it’s starting to tilt like the Titanic. The state started voting by mail in the early ‘90s. It went from independent to hard left.” —Oregon
Re: “Obama’s Messiah Complex on Display in Glasgow”
“And while in Scotland, he called it the 'Emerald Isle’ (Scotland is not even an island), confusing it with Ireland. Then he quoted Scotland’s (Ireland’s) national poet, Shakespeare! Of course, the national poet of Scotland is Robert Burns; Shakespeare is England’s. One would expect such an enlightened ‘messiah’ would know that.” —Panama
Re: “Critical Race Theory in Our Schools? Fact-Check: True”
“The objective of proponents of Critical Race Theory inclusion in our schools is to create racial tension in American society as a means to their ultimate agenda of fundamentally transforming the U.S. ‘Critical Race Theory’ equals ‘Create Racial Tension.’ That is what CRT is really about and what needs to be front and center in all discussions of the matter.” —Florida
Re: “Is America in Irreversible Decline?”
“Lord Conrad Black of Crossharbor just missed one important and very realistic idea. The U.S. will not be destroyed from the outside but from the inside by those ignorant of history and gullible enough to believe the rhetoric of the Left that we are unworthy of freedom bought and paid for by the blood of Patriots whom they call racists.” —North Carolina
