Re: “Poor Moral Values, Lack of Faith Define Biden’s America

“The source of all sin is ‘my way’ vs. ‘God’s way.’ Literally, we are choosing to place ourselves at the head and become our own gods. In the Bible, this was the first sin. When the serpent tempted Eve, the temptation was, ‘And you will become like God…’ The temptation was that we humans would be able to replace the one God, and become our own god, ruling over our lives by ourselves. Our moral decline as a nation is the result of such thinking. Modern secular thought teaches moral relativism as though it were a virtue, but it is entirely the path to destruction. It is removing from us the source of all good — God himself. And it is not God separating Himself from us, but us separating ourselves from Him.” —Texas

“It’s hopeful to me that many feel that America is in moral decay. I’m glad you’re writing about it and keeping it in the national conversation. If we were beyond any kind of moral renewal, there would not be awareness and judgment regarding our lack of morals. Awareness of a problem is the first step to improving. I’ll bet both Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi see no need for moral renewal, as they have surrendered their goodness to whatever barter they deemed their souls worthy of. Please keep this conversation active so the rest that still ‘hunger for goodness,’ to paraphrase the Psalms, can have it in their conscious awareness. Consciously knowing what you want and need, rather than feeling some vague dissatisfaction, allows for a more direct path to fulfillment.” —North Carolina

Re: “USA Today’s Fake News Factory

“I don’t think readers have an aversion to opinion pages. It’s that they know they are getting opinion in the news pages. Why duplicate it? If they could count on the news being news, they would welcome opinion. My dad used to read the left-right opinions after he read the news. It helped him form his own opinions. Now, every bit of news is told through the narrative of the ‘rag’ that is reporting. News is supposed to be like truth — unbiased and only one truth.” —Nevada

Re: “Bipartisan Red Flags in the Senate

“Red flag legislation is a red flag for a government seizure of more power. Does any U.S. citizen feel safer knowing your revengeful neighbor can, under this legislation, easily send the police to your home at 3 a.m. and seize your property and place you in jail without due process? Charles Schumer and all those with him are raving maniacs.” —North Carolina

Re: “Biden’s State Department Is Now Inept AND Anti-White

“Let’s see her prove her opinion of herself by persuading the Chinese to stop discriminating against those not of Han descent, particularly the Uyghurs. In the meantime, given her racist views of white people, she should not be allowed anywhere near Europe; the Biden administration has enough trouble with European relations already.” —Minnesota

Re: “In Brief: Dem Windfall Profits Tax Would Raise Gas Prices

“I am aghast that anyone could think that raising the cost of production would lower the cost of the product. The purchase price of virtually everything includes paying the producer for the cost of providing those items. Those costs include their taxes. Thus, even those of us who live in a state without a sales tax actually pay taxes on everything we buy. Those taxes are included in the cost of producing the item. The amount is substantial. Some foreign nations attempt to provide the value of those taxes. It is complicated, but 20% to 50% or more is not uncommon. I suspect the U.S. may even be higher.” —Missouri

Re: “Friday Short Cuts

“I would like to point out to the Supreme Court justices that the only weapons [in 1788] were muskets. I’m prepared to go back to muskets.” —New York Governor Kathy Hochul

“I would like to point out to the governor that fists, feet, rocks (Cain was not available for comment about his brother Abel), bows, arrows, spears, slings, knives, swords, etc. have all been around for a lot longer than muskets. By the way, there were also handguns available, and cannons could also be owned by common citizens when the Constitution was written.” —Georgia
